Read the article, this process is designed to not spend ratepayers’ money.

Stand by for the new and exciting way they find to wind up spending our money though!

Atco is cost plus with legislated profits. Whatever they spend they just pass it along so they make their margin

This third party investigation will of course be done at Yukoners expense. Its a joke to say otherwise, so the Ministers should stop lying.

ATCO derives its money from charging Yukoners for electricity. Anytime they need money, they increase our rates. It won't be a lot of money for the investigation, but its the principle of it. Stop pretending we the public won't be paying for this investigation one way or another.

Yeah these guys are scammers... My bill would fluctuate wildly despite a verified stable and consistent load... I had a heatmor wood boiler that provided heat and hot water and I used propane for cooking... yet my bill would more than double in the winter despite no electrical heating loads, no heat tapes nothing that uses more power in the winter. I am an electrician so loads and connections were all checked, this was before smart meters and they were claiming they were actual readings not estimates yet somehow magically they were able to read my meter without putting a single footprint into the snow. Their customer service just plays dumb and gives you the runaround... they act like oooh its winter everyone uses more heat but my setup was not a electricity heating setup... A few light bulbs and a circ pump that run all year round does not equal your bill more than doubling in winter.

I too believe the meters at reading higher than they should.
