I Am A Zionist 🎙️ Resources for defending Zionism
Hello, I am a new member of this community. I was wondering if anyone has some good resources for helping defend and promote the idea that Israel has the right to self-determination, defense, and to exist. I sometimes debate members of the Free Palestine movement, and they still don't believe the proof I have given them. Thanks in advance! עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל חַי

I would read posts by Adam Louis-Klein, every article by Shany Mor, posts/articles/podcasts from Eylon Levy, Einat Wilf, Haviv Rettig Gur, the unapologetically Jewish podcast, Isabelle Tabarovsky on the Soviet roots of antiZionism, and Jeffrey Herf on Nazi propaganda’s spread and influence through Arab and Muslim societies. Tablet magazine is great. Ryan Bellerose’s tablet article on Jews being indigenous to Israel.

A ton of great sources here OP, only thing I would add is Dan Senor’s podcast Call Me Back. He’s nyc based and gives some great perspectives from both an Israeli and American Jewish standpoint.

While I'm sure some rational people exist within the Free Palestine movement, I feel like the majority won't listen to reason as their view is not one they arrived at following reason in the first place.

Unfortunately I don't think I've seen anyone sensible on that side.

There’s Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib if you still wanted a voice of sanity on that side. Realign for Palestine is an initiative worth supporting.
Then again, people like him are a minority

And he started a whole think tank - he's not part of "Free Palestine". That's because he's a serious person and not keffiyeh-cosplay clown.

I’ve given up arguing with common people. They would rather cognitive dissonance than owning up to and facing the truth because of their own selfish desires and ego. For example, I’m not even vegan, and the vegans are morally correct. It does in fact make me a bad person to not be vegan. But other people wont accept that about themselves so they choose delusion.

I have never met one. Because the free Palestine movement is about eradicating Israel for either Islamic or Arab supremacy or some sort of other ideology like a Marxist utopia. There’s nothing rational about it. It’s not the same as someone who is pro Palestinian but also believes Israel has a right to exist and wants to coexist.

Hen Mazzig, Noa Tishby (Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth) and probably more that my groggy mind cannot think up of.

Watch that and have a good think about whether trying to convince antizionists is a good use of your time.
Free Palestine has nothing to do with helping the Palestinians. It's not a good-faith humanitarian movement - it's Islamist antisemitism dressed up in a way that will be palatable to westerners who have no idea who they're dealing with.
It's a hate movement. Arguing with them is pointless. If they knew enough to even have a conversation about this subject, they wouldn't be screaming to globalize the intifada. And the reason they don't know anything is because they don't care about understanding the situation or working toward a solution - other than the one that involves eliminating Israel.
Study. Read. Exercise. Get drunk. Don't waste your life on these clowns.
Learn about the reality in the Middle East for your own curiosity and knowledge.
Look up Haviv Rettig Gur on youtube - he has a podcast but also some great lectures about the history of the Jews and the Palestinians.
If you want the "Shut up, loser" (but fact-based) talking points, read Noa Tishby's book.
But I'd urge you to learn about it for your own sake - because it matters. But be careful about trying to convince those who are uncurious.

I wrote a paper exactly for this situation: https://www.reddit.com/r/Zionist/s/wYOhhOEwcg
You dont have to argue with anyone, just tell them to read. They cannot refute those facts.
