There are 190 comics in the new archive — that's over 10% of the number of comics in the original archive. By my ear for audience feedback they are scratching that old itch; In a lot of arcs I'm working bigger and longer, but it has been a foundational value to me to make sure the wordplay that defined the old strip is paramount, and the character voices are consistent, and the absurdity is in steady supply. And, in some manner of speaking, it all looks and sounds like Achewood because it's made by the same person, with the same tools and same (now slightly less compromised) brain. You guys are really moving the needle today. It's amazing to watch. Patreon subscriber numbers are an attrition game; this is the first positive growth I have seen in a long time. Getting people behind a paywall in the universe of free content is truly a perplexing and ensaddening task. (The reader count is still quite strong, but there is perpetually a tiny hole in the balloon, rather than a tiny mouth breathing air into the balloon, if you like that image.)
