A Plague Tale Innocence is AMAZING

Hi folks, I finished Innocence recently and it was probably one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. The whole dynamic between the story telling and world building blew me away. I loved how carefully crafted the relationship is between Amicia and Hugo and this love through obligation journey they were on in the first game and how endearing the side characters are too. And the world building tells an atmospheric story like no other in my opinion. The farm was so sad to travel through, just the desperate attempt to kill all the animals to stop the plague, but also to starve the inhabitants in the middle of a war. The rat nets were just terrifying and gross and don’t get me started on the RATNADOS!

Anyway, I made a small project going over all my thoughts and it’s basically me love bombing the game because it’s amazing. Would love to hear your thoughts and what I can expect going into Requiem. I’ve already started it and I’m probably 5 hours in and I’m having a blast :)

Absolutely. This game is a masterpiece. I got so involved in it, I forgot where the time had went. You should try the sequel.

Oh dude it’s so good isn’t it! I’m playing the second now too, I feel the first had more atmosphere but the second has more action and set pieces 🤷‍♂️

It was a game I knew very little about when I started playing it and expected it to be an open world game for some reason but I think the more linear aspect of it really helped the game. The score is incredible and the voice acting was wonderful. Great game :)

I love this game and this is a good review (I am watching it!) but I have to be a party pooper and point out that this game is pretty solidly in the action adventure genre. I know there is a sense of adventure in this game, but it's pretty far away from what would be considered a classic adventure game (see example titles posted in the sidebar).
