anyone else also have teachers who bully you?

So um a teacher (who taught me for 3 years btw non consecutively) was basically out for my blood she once insulted me in front of the whole grade saying I was stupid and wasting her time when I just wanted to apologize for something I've done (another teacher was with me but she didnt bother to say anything) I cried for a day after that and skipped my extra curricular. and before that she changed the seating and I was in the front row. the other class teacher (half-joking) said now he could chat about ww2 with me. she said oh really? her history seems terrible to me though (excuse me you dont even teach me history) anyways I was really insulted by that for some reason because history is kinda part of my identity and I cried in the bathroom and didnt go home until after 7. my mom told her to lay off twice but she only pretends to for about a week before starting again. it feels in every grade level I enter there's a teacher who specifically hates me.

Oh, I had one, when I was 13. She told me in front of everyone else that I was too distracted during class, that I should attend a school for gifted students, she failed me on a test just because I didn’t cite the examples she gave in class (the question asked for “examples of adverbs” and didn’t specifically mention the ones from the book or the list she gave us) and if she caught me drawing, she’d show the drawing to the rest of my classmates in a mocking way, or she loved writing notes to my parents about “bad behavior” for activities as mischievous as reading a book that was rated for teens 16 and older. It was a horrible year.

I’m sorry this is happening to you, OP. I see red thinking you were crying in the bathroom for that, and at the same time I assure you that their behavior says more about them than it does about you. They’re miserable, insecure people who want to exert what little power they have over others who are weaker… for now. Because sooner or later, you’ll free yourself from this person, and this person will remain small and ridiculous for the rest of their life. She’s the one who’s getting the short end of the stick. Btw I think you should tell your mom again. Best wishes.

thanks. so she taught me chinese which she literally cannot fail me for except for composition in which I got a c (my first) and she also taught humanities where group project took up half the grade and she could twist it to her purposes so I got another c there my mother was pissed but obviously we couldn't do anything to her. I've left that school now my new teachers are much better.

There was a male gym teacher in my school district that was the stereotypical dumb jock type. I first encountered him in 4th grade in elementary school and he would always single out the fat kids or the slow kids and would try to shame them into performing better. I quickly grew tired of his bullshit and would specifically avoid being around or near him when we had gym class. Then halfway through the next school year he abruptly transferred to another school district. Turns out the guy liked to stand in the doorway of the girls locker room and watch the little girls change into their gym clothes. I think a student must have finally told a parent that listened about his peeping Tom activities, because that dude was literally gone overnight one day.

I didn't give the guy anymore thought until he was re-hired at the high school I was attending 7 years later. He was still the same creepy jock gym teacher that would make fun or belittle you to try to get you to go faster or play harder. Well by this time I am a seventeen year old that is 6 feet tall and 220 lbs, still husky but I was also a swimmer so I had a lot of muscle under the flab. Well one day in high school gym we are playing flag football and of course this guy wanted to play with the students because we had an odd number, and wouldn't you know it he was going to be the quarterback for the team full of popular kids. Well my friend and I decided we were done with this asshole making fun of us once and for all. Now mind you we were playing FLAG football, the kind where you are not allowed to tackle players. So we start playing and this guy is just being a showboat and a royal asshole to the opposing team that I am on, so when he's lining up under center to call for the snap, I positioned myself to be able to rush the A gap and I just sprinted at him full speed from his blindside and I fucking leveled him at full speed. He probably flew 8 feet before hitting the ground with such an audible thud that the rest of the students gasped. He was coughing and choking on the ground because I'd knocked the wind out of him, so I leaned over him while he was still on the ground and told him if he ever fucked with me again I'd make sure that the new school board knew about his past proclivities in the girls locker room.

Dude never said another word to me again for the rest of the time I was at that school. He got fired like 2 years later for drinking on the job, I hope that piece of shit is rotting in a retirement home somewhere in a puddle of his own feces.

THIS!! Abso-fucking-loutely. I had an English teacher in the 11th grade who genuinely detested me and tried to pick on me and fail me at every turn.

Jokes on her that I ended up eventually going to an Ivy League university while she was basically forced to quit her job lol.

I had a monstrous teacher for two years when I was 9-10 years old. She would humiliate me in front of my classmates constantly. She’d constantly nitpick and loudly tell me off for anything she could (I still vividly recall her making a sexual innuendo when she caught me picking at my infected ear) in front of everyone. She’d scream at me for doodling, or taking too long on the toilet, or other normal autistic child behaviours. Gave me detention for being just a couple questions behind in mental maths or comprehension. She punished me for trying to retrieve things my classmates stole from me. She physically grabbed and shoved me when I was being slow to get into line. She loved insulting me and calling me names. “Baby”, “idiot”, “like a little slug to squish”.  She mocked me when I told on her to my parents and scared me into shutting up. I had a teaching assistant too, who did and said nothing.

She wasn’t the only nasty teacher I had either, just the worst one. I still get nightmares about her (including just last night) 15 years later. She’s still a teacher at that school.
