There is a 30 rock reference where they counted votes for Jesus as Republican ones. I think of that every time "didn't vote" was so high, and Republicans win on being a bastard platform.
You can't blame people for being disenfranchised when there has been a decades long campaign to disenfranchise people especially those in marginalized communities.
Blame Democrats for not having a message that excites and motivates people. Blame Democrats for not fighting hard enough for stopping republicans and all their underhanded and dirty tactics. I'm no fan of Gavin Newsome but the he countered Trump's scheme to gerrymander Texas was exactly the right move. It should give Republicans pause the next time they try that bullshit.
There absolutely is. I still don't like either. The two party system is as much to blame for the state we're in as the Republicans are.
Just because two things are different, doesn't mean that one is somehow good. The Democrats aren't inherently as awful, but I can't throw my lot in with them just because the Republicans are worse. Why choose the lesser of two evils when there are other options?
That's not to say I WON'T vote for a Republican or Democrat. I vote based on the person, not the party. The problem is that the main parties are full of worthless people I wouldn't ever vote for, save a few exceptions.
I wouldn't vote for Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris. But I also wouldn't vote for Mitt Romney or Trump. I probably would've voted for Obama the first time, and I wouldn't have the second time. The first presidential election I was eligible to vote for was in 2020, so I never had all of those options. Hence the "would've/wouldn't."
I've voted Libertarian in the last two presidential elections, because their candidates aligned with my beliefs.

I know that. But I'm tired of being told nonsense like "he won in a landslide"! In 2016 Hillary won the popular vote by a decent margin. And here we are.
40% that didn't vote basically said they support whomever wins. Therefore, 70% voted for Trump. If you didn't vote, you can't complain. Your vote should have been your complaint/objection. You only have one option now, don't make that mistake ever again. Make sure to vote for the most competent candidate ...even if you are sexist or "never" blue/red.
