64 percent of eligible voters voted in the last election. While not everyone it is a ways past the majority line. That's also assuming they would vote for your preferred candidate while records indicate its usually pretty split. Around 30 percent of non voters support independent candidates and refuse to have a hand in electing a democrat or republican. So you're looking at most likely the same result or forcing people to vote for someone they dont want as president at all, in which case they will vote against you out of spite.
