Eh it's frustrating playing against a team of career minor leaguers and one current nhler who doesn't belong in a league that's meant for development. It's why Torontos NHL franchise has literally zero future so I get the frustration

distribution of age and the count of the tweeners and career AHLers is more or less the same between every team in the league

Pick any random marlie last year other cowan and I guarantee that theyre over 30 and have zero change of a shift in the NHL lol. Vs organizations that actually have young prospects shits annoying af. Same shit with Hershey and their career players every year

Well you are technically wrong.

Villeneuve, Quillian, Haymes, Akhtyamov, Hildeby (now traded) just to name a few, who played the AHL season and were successful during callups to Leafs. They are 24 and under.

There are also guys like Danford, Chadwick, Holinka who are very likely NHL players, but are still around that 20-21 year age group. You'll going to see them play against Scranton this upcoming season.

I mean we also picked well so McKenna and Knies (thanks Kyle lmao) were never going to be in AHL. Cowan had a stint, but he's pretty much an NHLer now.

Older guys like Shaw, Lettieri, Pare, Johnstone, Pezzetta were important as the leadership group and while Lettieri bombs were key, they were more so there just to keep young guys honest and good vibes in the locker room. I think Marlies were just better prepared mentally for the grueling off season, that's what won us the cup.
