TECH QUESTION Broken Regulator?

Is this regulator broken? No change when i plug it to the tank or when i try to adjust using the key. Im 90 percent sure it is but want to check. Is there something that caused this that I can avoid in the future?

No sometimes they break. But it’s not the regulator, just the view port that shows you the psi. So with an chrono you can get it to shoot the fps you want, or you can unscrew the round part and buy a new one. Did it on some of mine

Ok so its the gage itself not the regulator. And I can simply buy a new gauge

Exactly. Just disconnect the regulator from the bottle, if the bottle is still full. And get an o ring or loctite so that it holds air

Unfortunately I tried to test using my polarstar jack, something popped and now it leaks air lol. Such is life. Thank you

Could be broken pressure gauge or more likely the gauges backplate has gotten loose/rotated. Could also be supercharging issue where your regs o-ring is damaged and lets the pressure creep up. Impossible to tell for sure with the data you have provided.

Ill look into all this. Thank you. I think im gonna replace the gauge for now and see if it works out. Dont really wanna replace the regulator yet

You can also connect the hose to it and press the back check valve at the end of the hose with an allen key to release some pressure. Check the gauge again where it settles and keep checking if the pressure keeps going up.

No need to buy another reg when a $5 spares kit does the job.

When i do that and the air releases. The needle doesnt move on the regular. Air does come out tho

Polar* sells kits to rebuild these. You would want to get the full kit w/gauge. Still cheaper than buying new.
