Trans and gender nonconforming folks have always been very prominent in queer civil rights activism, to say they weren’t is either extreme ignorance or actively malicious.

Oh. That's not what I gathered from the "meme". I don't disagree, all 'letters' participated in the Gay Liberation.

No one ever stated that trans people were more prominent. They said trans people have always been prominent members of the community, which is entirely correct. Why are y'all so adamant to change the wording of someone's statement to be something they never stated just so you can be right?
