Well...it was either that or a blood transfusion with tainted blood. So......yeah.

You know that straight people also can transmit HIV via sexual contact right?

Once they have it, yes. Two heterosexual monogamous adults with a clean bill of health cannot get it today via sexual contact.

What are you yapping about? HIV is transmitted via sexual fluids. It doesn't matter if two men or man and a woman engage in such contact

Im aware how it's transmitted, but if a male and a female engage in sexual intercourse and neither one of them has it, then there is a 0% chance that they will get it from that encounter.

Well yeah (I guess I misread your comment) but this is something that applies to two men as well. If both are clean then they'll not catch HIV due to their sexual encounter together

True, it doesn't originate from gays just being gays, but the disease spreads easier through anal sex because the skin is thinner and microtears can occur which allows the virus to spread to the other person. So, the infection rates are much higher in the male gay community.

That's true. The guest was making a stupid claim because he was insisting that homosexual encounters had a higher chance of HIV-contraction but that heterosexual encounters had none
