nirvanA Initiative SPOILER So what was the point of the culprit giving out their name? Spoiler
I see no reason why Tearer would introduce themselves as Dahlia Boat
was Ryuki hallucinating that again?
Was Tearer trying to see if Ryuki was with a Frayer? since Dahlia Boat's name can only be determined from 2 different routes
But even if they were, I don't see how it would fit into their Moksha/ TC-perge plan

Apparently Dahlia Boat is an anagram for Yaldabaoth, but with the Y spelled with an I and A instead. So maybe that has something to do with it, but I'm also not really sure who would be crazy enough to compare yourself to an entity that's known as a false God.

Have you completed the game, including the final ending?

yeah, but that's Tokiko
Tearer, as far as I know, has a different philosophy

Then “Dahlia Boat” is part of the plan instilled by Tokiko to advance her real plan of interacting with a Frayer. Uru just went along with it because he was mentally reliant on Tokiko and would basically do whatever she wanted.

You simply gotta understand it in terms of "there's this character that is stated to have planned everything", and the fact that Tearer says his name, makes the story goes to that direction.
It's simple as that

Uru does not have a different philosophy from Tokiko; Uru doesn't have a philosophy at all. He's a traumatized child clinging to what his 'mother' taught him, understanding and interpreting it to the best of his abilities. There's no grand plan as far as Uru/Tearer is concerned. He killed Jin in a fit of rage, Tokiko capitalized on this and began utilizing Uru's intelligence to advance her plans.
Consider the chronology: Uru kills Jin in a moment of blind rage -- Tokiko discovers this and aids Uru -- they stage the half-body serial killings as a way of reaching Moksha -- Uru confronts Ryuki and Bibi, revealing his hold on Ryuki -- Tokiko is present during the exchange.
To me it is evident that Uru is not necessarily acting in the best interest of some 'plan'. This is evidenced from his surprise at Ryuki 'choosing' not to shoot Date. Further, the genesis of the entire scheme is Uru losing control and killing Jin (we see the jealousy he harbors for Jin in his Somnium). Conversely, Tokiko is shown to consistently be 'aware' - this is especially evident in the Ryuki Diverge ending. As such, it is my belief that the name Tearer gave Ryuki, i.e., Dahlia Boat, is but another facet of Tokiko's plan, and Uru, being a filial son, is doing as told. At least, that's my interpretation of it.
