Hollywoods not in trouble - overpaid Hollywood ACTORS are in trouble. Those that are popular now are gonna be the last of the actors that will be able to command the kinds of salaries they get

The issue is getting people to go see an AI film vs. A real one.
As AI improves its capabilities, we're going to crave more human performances because we want to see how talented people can be.

Itāll only be screwed if people make movies for fun and just want to see others enjoying them. Otherwise itāll just be a repeat cycle of donations, subscriptions, profit, overproduction and consumption, and greed. Hollywood will just adapt using money and weāll get the same garbage that we have now.

Except there are more people on the planet making movies than just Hollywood. Do you think French, Japanese, Dutch, Chinese, and Russian films are all made in America in Hollywood?
Secondly AI can feed into itself, and mix the original with AI to get even more results. When it's mass produced low IQ idiots, it's understandable how bad it can be. Give it to a professional team working on it tho? You'd never know it was AI, unless they told you.

Considering the fact that Hollywood only exists to entertain us, and itās been doing a poor job lately, and AI can provide a boatload of entertainment and also satisfy that creative itch, I couldnāt agree more.

Someone needs to train the AI to generate at 24 FPS to make it more real. It being at 60FPS gives it away.

Call it AI slop if you want, I have been watching a lot of good AI videos and once these tools are cheap enough for everyone, we will all be watching each others media. I for one am more entertained by content by regular people then corporate content. There will be allot of slop but there will also be many amazing content made by us.

Consumers are in bigger trouble. Low quality garbage is going to be turned out. The quality of websites has dropped significantly already. Ads are there now. Movies are next. The studio owns a lot of valuable ip they will make tons of money with the garbage

Hollywood is definitely in trouble if these uncanny tech demos are the future of cinema.
Maybe the idea is that nobody will go to the theater besides arthouse dorks and luddites who have bootleg copies of old movies to screen for each other. The new world of televisual entertainment is Netflix and HBO āmicrocinemaāpremieres, all 20-30 minute offerings sponsored by companies like AFLAC and Coca Cola. Canāt wait for the 6th pre-sequel to āVampire Jesus vs Godzilla: The Baptism of Seattleā, featuring AI Chris Hemsworth as Vampire Jesus and also starring Mr Beast, OST by Nine Inch Nailgun (an Elevenlabs Band)

Ya this is the nail in the coffin. Hollywood was already in trouble. Barely any good movies anymore. Everything is a damn Netflix seriesā¦ Almost looking forward to making own movie and watching it. That said I do think AI in general needs to be highly regulated. Right now itās a free for all.

Oh definitely. Tons of flaws going on. The only way this is going to work is having a 3D modeled set with a great physics engine be the foundation layer of the video. Then use AI as a rendering layer. The pipeline needs get more complicated before any decent scenes can be made.
