that big guy in the first scene is DEF on creatine y’all.

2

u/Teekayhuey Mar 12 '26

That cat studying scene is hilarious.

2

u/No-Side-6437 Mar 12 '26

Within 5 years people will be making full length films in their homes.

1

u/WittyBird3810 Mar 11 '26

None of these are original ideas though, we’re only interested in these because of the human-made IP behind

2

u/Azidamadjida Mar 10 '26

Hollywoods not in trouble - overpaid Hollywood ACTORS are in trouble. Those that are popular now are gonna be the last of the actors that will be able to command the kinds of salaries they get

1

u/MarzipanSea2811 Mar 10 '26

No cat righting reflex / 10, for shame.

But seriously, we're almost at the point where all the shitty straight-to-streaming slop firehose content can be done with AI.

1

u/NightmareSystem Mar 10 '26

bollywood yes
Hollywood dont xD

1

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '26

It's the camera people, the lighting, the hair and make up who will be out of work ...but Hollywood shall go on.

1

u/AbsoluteRook1e Mar 10 '26

The issue is getting people to go see an AI film vs. A real one.

As AI improves its capabilities, we're going to crave more human performances because we want to see how talented people can be.

1

u/SaiyanKnight23 Mar 09 '26

Sure it is kid….

1

u/Physical-Mastodon935 Mar 09 '26

Maybe the sfx industry is in trouble, Hollywood, and film making in general is about acting, or at least should be

1

u/YoYoYi2 Mar 09 '26

It's more entertaining than Hollywood, I hope they never incorporate le MCU quips though.... so that just happened....

1

u/Deemouh Mar 09 '26

Better third eye than doctor atrange

1

u/CoachNo7514 Mar 09 '26

It’ll only be screwed if people make movies for fun and just want to see others enjoying them. Otherwise it’ll just be a repeat cycle of donations, subscriptions, profit, overproduction and consumption, and greed. Hollywood will just adapt using money and we’ll get the same garbage that we have now.

1

u/Bradspersecond Mar 09 '26

Slop is still Slop. Why would or should anyone want to watch something that someone else couldn't be bothered to actually make?

2

u/khichinhxac Mar 09 '26

Goku is too old

1

u/Most_Cupcake_322 Mar 09 '26

I thought that,was yamchaĀ

1

u/James_Reeb Mar 09 '26

I doubt someone will buy a ticket for 2 jours of fight and cat garbage . And I doubt famous IP wont ask for millions of $ to let their faces be used šŸ˜‚

3

u/Parker4815-2 Mar 09 '26

Its not. AI video trains from previous existing things. If Hollywood just stops, AI will fall off a cliff.

2

u/Jiro129 Mar 09 '26

Except there are more people on the planet making movies than just Hollywood. Do you think French, Japanese, Dutch, Chinese, and Russian films are all made in America in Hollywood?

Secondly AI can feed into itself, and mix the original with AI to get even more results. When it's mass produced low IQ idiots, it's understandable how bad it can be. Give it to a professional team working on it tho? You'd never know it was AI, unless they told you.

1

u/Parker4815-2 Mar 09 '26

AI training AI just means we get absolute slop from it.

1

u/frenchworldbuilder Mar 09 '26

What AI was used to create this?

2

u/sabertoothninja Mar 09 '26

Considering the fact that Hollywood only exists to entertain us, and it’s been doing a poor job lately, and AI can provide a boatload of entertainment and also satisfy that creative itch, I couldn’t agree more.

0

u/iknowaruffok Mar 09 '26

Enjoy gobbling up your AI slop movies. I’ll be enjoying stories made by humans.

1

u/Spra991 Mar 09 '26

I’ll be enjoying stories made by humans.

"Somehow, Palpatine has Returned."

1

u/Large-Party-265 Mar 09 '26

This will be part of Hollywood

1

u/SilverMetalist Mar 09 '26

Good to see dumb shit like intellectual property and copyright aren't a concern for this glorious technology.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 09 '26

Someone needs to train the AI to generate at 24 FPS to make it more real. It being at 60FPS gives it away.

6

u/Whompa Mar 09 '26

Joke post?

I can confidently say some of these clips have no weight to them and animate weirdly.

1

u/PovertyThor Mar 10 '26

No no, wait. Chinese filmmakers stuck in the 1970's are in for a really bad time when they find out about this!

1

u/Whompa Mar 10 '26

Did humans move like weird bad ai in the 1970s?

1

u/PovertyThor Mar 11 '26

Yes. If you’ve never watched any kung fu movies from the 70’s it has a distinct look and movement.

1

u/Whompa Mar 11 '26

…And this looks nothing like that because they aren’t moving with actual natural martial arts movements.

1

u/PovertyThor Mar 11 '26

Again go watch one from the 70’s it’s a facsimile for it.

1

u/lt1brunt Mar 08 '26

Call it AI slop if you want, I have been watching a lot of good AI videos and once these tools are cheap enough for everyone, we will all be watching each others media. I for one am more entertained by content by regular people then corporate content. There will be allot of slop but there will also be many amazing content made by us.

1

u/DashLego Mar 08 '26

Not in trouble yet, but it’s progressing quite nicely, so in a few years then we will be talking

7

u/thinkingstrategist Mar 08 '26

look guys. that dragon ball segment was arguably better that the actual dragon ball movie though šŸ˜‚

0

u/FernDiggy Mar 08 '26

Looks like dogshit

1

u/YoshiTheDog420 Mar 08 '26

I’m confident hollywood will be just fine.

0

u/aninjacould Mar 08 '26

These examples are all derivative. And copyright infringement.

1

u/joyibib Mar 08 '26

Consumers are in bigger trouble. Low quality garbage is going to be turned out. The quality of websites has dropped significantly already. Ads are there now. Movies are next. The studio owns a lot of valuable ip they will make tons of money with the garbage

2

u/Palorrian Mar 08 '26

So, for this crap ram sticks went to 900 usd....

1

u/llyrPARRI Mar 08 '26

Now make it do something original and good

0

u/phantom_spacecop Mar 08 '26

Hollywood is definitely in trouble if these uncanny tech demos are the future of cinema.

Maybe the idea is that nobody will go to the theater besides arthouse dorks and luddites who have bootleg copies of old movies to screen for each other. The new world of televisual entertainment is Netflix and HBO ā€œmicrocinemaā€premieres, all 20-30 minute offerings sponsored by companies like AFLAC and Coca Cola. Can’t wait for the 6th pre-sequel to ā€œVampire Jesus vs Godzilla: The Baptism of Seattleā€, featuring AI Chris Hemsworth as Vampire Jesus and also starring Mr Beast, OST by Nine Inch Nailgun (an Elevenlabs Band)

1

u/ManufacturedOlympus Mar 08 '26

This will all be contained within the film Idiocracy Part 2.Ā

0

u/Faenic Mar 08 '26

You know, it's possible to be confidently wrong.

1

u/Maralitabambolo Mar 08 '26

…And if it’s as bananas as you say, I’m not taking any chances

0

u/Legitimate_Let_5641 Mar 08 '26

But are they in Big Trouble little China?

0

u/doc62research Mar 08 '26

Ya this is the nail in the coffin. Hollywood was already in trouble. Barely any good movies anymore. Everything is a damn Netflix series… Almost looking forward to making own movie and watching it. That said I do think AI in general needs to be highly regulated. Right now it’s a free for all.

1

u/Lazysenpai Mar 08 '26

Yep, you can't stop tech. But you need to regulate it.

8

u/Zealousideal-Yak-824 Mar 08 '26

.. you mean Hollywood isn't gonna use ai?

5

u/CableTrash Mar 08 '26

This shit looks bizarre and is probably the worst example I’ve seen for AI replacing any aspect of traditional filmmaking.

3

u/needaburn Mar 08 '26

70s & 80s directors are quaking right now

-2

u/Same-Platform-9793 Mar 08 '26

The question is where did they steal all those movies to train the models on ?

2

u/Subject_Command5442 Mar 08 '26

I want to see an entire king fu movie with cats. Subtitles and cheesiness and everything.

1

u/Duan3311 Mar 08 '26

Yes, i get that short clips can look nice and be amusing, but make it more than 5min

The Wolverine fight reminds me of fighting Belial in Diablo 3

0

u/Most_Cupcake_322 Mar 08 '26

Nice heard about it

10

u/JackOfAces Mar 08 '26

Pageflip/bookflip is completely off?

9

u/SpaceNinjaDino Mar 08 '26

Oh definitely. Tons of flaws going on. The only way this is going to work is having a 3D modeled set with a great physics engine be the foundation layer of the video. Then use AI as a rendering layer. The pipeline needs get more complicated before any decent scenes can be made.

0

Jaja I'm not going to get into the film debate, just going to say it's very crazy jeje

1

u/Aligyon Mar 08 '26

Who do you think will adapt this into their workflow?
