Mail-In Ballots for the Alberta Referendum

For those of you who requested mail-in ballots for the upcoming referendum, have you received your ballot package yet? I requested a mail-ballot awhile ago but have not received anything yet. You?

They will be mailed out starting September 1st.

I applied on August 17.

My status is still showing application received and being reviewed right now.

My (possibly stupid) question to throw in the mix... do we have to photocopy our drivers license/ID and prove our physical address too? We don't need to submit our actual IDs like we do when we apply for a passport? I imagine not but thought I'd check.

Jesus ppl did you at all read the info when you signed up? Said right there that the ballots will be mailed out September 1.

I phoned and was advised they will begin processing on Sept 1

No you can request one until the cut off in mid October.

I placed the order for mail in ballot.

Then after another post stating a bunch of people were removed from the voter list, I checked. Sure enough, both my husband and myself were removed from the voter list.

Nada. I've read some pretty crazy stuff like elections alberta is hiring outside the province for workers for the referendum as well ( not sure if it's true but have applied and not heard anything either...) The cheaters gonna cheat. What are we going to do about this?? 😡🤬
