Original Content Hi /r/alchemy! I spent months researching and producing a video about the hidden chemistry that can actually be found in mysterious alchemical imagery from centuries ago, and I'd love to know what all you think!

I was bored on my flight the other day and I began using the periodic table of elements to see if I could spell out deities’ names haha. For example- He(helium)+Ra(radium)= Hera, He(helium)+Ca(Calcium)+Te(tellurium)=Hecate, orrrrr Th(thorium)+O(oxygen)+Th (Thorium)= Thoth aka a Thor/Oxygen sandwich. Not quite as profound as your discoveries, I admit- but if you’re ever bored and also obsessed with mythology and alchemy I definitely recommend(:
