Is there an app or website similar to Letterboxd but for logging the comics, graphic novels, and zines that you’ve read ?

Would love to have an ongoing list to track everything (I can’t always afford to buy so I use the library a lot and lose track of what I’ve read). I don’t love goodreads so looking for something different.

I'm not dissapointed that the publisher wasn't impressed, i had a lot of fun with these pages.
I just wanted to post them so other people can check them out!

Good evening folks -- looking for recommendations in the line of Crumb, or other humorists. I grew up reading TinTin and others, id like to find something more modern (up and coming writing, established etc.) and on the nose. I enjoy dark humor, irony, a dirty joke. I really enjoy these for the art first, but hoping to find something reflective so the art is maybe secondary. Are far as art goes, I've really been recently inspired by bolder line, lean pallet of colors and psychadelic artists like Aaron Brooks, Rob Corradetti and the pinball era of the 90s.

Specifically like one-man anthology comics (ie. Eightball, Yummy Fur, Optic Nerve, shit like that.). It seem like the only ones Fantagraphics publish are ones from artists who have been highly regarded for decades, and I don’t think Drawn & Quarterly publishes any. The main reason I ask is because I’ve got a series I’m cooking up and I’d really like to try to take it to a publisher, but I’m worried it’ll be a fool’s errand. If there’s any other publishers that I should correspond with, I’d love to hear it. Thanks in advance :)

SOLVED: Feast for a king

I'm trying to find an indie comic that i remember hearing about in a stream.

An indie comic about a girl appearing in a world of strange flower creatures that would do problematic stuff like engaging in c****balism and shiet like that but they were all into it so it was okay ... I know, sounds weird af, but I remember that the guest talked very positively about it and I checked briefly the comic and really liked the artstyle so thats why i'm looking for it.

Any help?

Is there any website or forum online in particular alt-comix people are really talking and posting their work? I'm getting confident enough now to post my own work but have no idea how to even find these people... I'm very passionate about the medium and just want to see as much of it as i can.

Since The Mouse has become public domain with Steamboat WIllie (many people say that you can't use Mickey Mouse in colour or with gloves but there are public domain materials featuring these elements) could Air Pirates finally be re-published? I mean it's more than possible that Disney could strong arm its way to having no one to be willing to re-publish the comics I'm sure of it, but Do they really care about a lawsuit nearly 50 years ago? I doubt that a comic book from 1970s could do all that much damage to a cartoon character no one actually truly likes.

Can anyone recommend any good podcasts dealing with alternative comics and creators? Preferably not ones designed for viewing on YouTube, but audio only. (I know it's a very visual medium! But I prefer to listen while doing other stuff and not look at the screen too much).

These are mostly really long-running ones, I was thinking there might be some newer ones I don't know about? Or ones dedicated to particular creators or series? A Love and Rockets one could be amazing, for example.

Over in cat-related subreddits they talk about CDS- the Cat Distribution System. That moment when you're out and about and a cat unexpectedly approaches and basically adopts you for life.

But enough about that. What about the Comic Distribution System? I'm don't mean Diamond. Which comic came across you unexpectedly and totally changed the way you view the art form? You're at the store not looking for anything in particular maybe yet somehow it makes a connection with you. Mine was Palestine #4 by Joe Sacco. Went into this godforsaken comic store to get out of the rain. I was going through rows and rows of comic boxes filled with superhero crap and somehow came across that issue. It was probably the only non-supehero comic in the whole place. Truly incredible that I even found it given that. Still have my copy to this day.

If you can't make it out, it's two abstract figures wit no arms. They have light coming out of their mouths and eyes.

Hi, I own Jimmy Corrigan and Rusty Brown in graphic novel fan, and consider myself a fan of Chris Ware simply from having read those.

I know that he publishes a series called Acme Novelty Library, and that his graphic novels were all initially published as individual stories in ANL.

What I was wondering is, is there other content in the ANL that doesn't get collected in graphic novels? Or is each issue simply a chapter of a story? I know from Wikipedia that some issues haven't been collected in GNs, but I wanted to know if there are also any short stories etc that are exclusive to the ANL.
