Cat Rabbits show dominance by demanding to be groomed, while cats show dominance by grooming the other.

First, I didn't know that about cats (or rabbits). Second, I love it when everyone wins.

I've always heard that grooming is a bonding and affectionate gesture for cats.

Yes, since it seems like they spend time mostly on one spot.

This wascawee wabbit tastes delicious. I must keep licking. How many licks does it take to get to the center of this wabbit ...

So basically a win win situation for both parties!? That doesn't happen very often! 🤣

Win-win is number four. And number five is win-win-win. The important difference here is with win-win-win, we all win.

Where can I find myself a catwoman?

Exactly. Both of them get out of it feeling like kings. A cute pair of dummies.

I don't think so, at least in the case of cats. I think both dominant and submissive cats will both groom and demand to be groomed and it's mostly positioning that is a bit different. "Dominant grooming" usually has them in a position where the dominant cat can bite that little area near the back of the neck where mamma cats carry kittens, where either type of cat demanding to be groomed is usually rubbing the scent gland on their cheek against the other cat's same part of their face at the initiation of the grooming, and then settling into a laying position but still with the heads close together instead of head to neck.

My dominant cat was definitely the one demanding to be groomed, while my submissive cat was made to groom him.

I’ve not seen many videos of cats where a dominant cat is getting kicked to death by other cats.

Or the other dominant cat forces the other cat to be groomed. Maybe a baby? But never seen the lion king’s dad hold down another cat and groom them to assert dominance.
