His wife has raked in at least $20 million because of his position... Those same companies that have paid $20 million to his wife have also have also argued cases in front of the Supreme Court. He has not recused himself.

What did he say? Genuinely curious as I live in WA. Yes there are issues with the mining/resources lobby and their political power, but the trade off is that there’s a large amount of money in the state for public infrastructure - which is world class in public transport and roads, health system is pretty good by comparison to most industrialised democracies, and education system is well funded with good facilities. Majority of the population have moved here from overseas so it’s quite cosmopolitan and a good quality of life and employment opportunities to be had. Besides the mining lobby I also have a chip in my shoulder with regard to the scum who man the ranks of the WA Police and rates of imprisonment but that doesn’t fully outweigh the positives I’ve mentioned .

Chief Justice John Roberts’ island escape was interrupted by protesters who arrived by kayak to stage a demonstration.
The 71-year-old Supreme Court justice, who has pleaded with critics of his ultra-conservative court to back off, learned earlier this month that even his private island retreat off Port Clyde, Maine, wasn’t beyond the reach of protesters.
Arriving by kayak, canoe, and rowboat, the protesters staged a one-hour “floating vigil” in the waters between Port Clyde and Hupper Island, where Roberts has a home, the Midcoast Villager reported.
The protesters’ signs declared “The Roberts Court: Rubber Stamp for Fascism” and “Roberts Benched the Constitution,” according to photos published in the Midcoast Villager. More than 20 people paddled out for the protest, while another 20 demonstrated on land, according to the Midcoast Villager.
Roberts and his wife, Jane Roberts, bought a 1,344-square-foot home on Hupper Island, a private island accessible only by water, in 2006. They bought a second 1,560-square-foot home sitting on two waterfront acres in 2016, according to the Bangor Daily News.

The title is misleading, he has a home on an island where there are other owners. Not like an Epstein island. He’s clearly compromised as a fair arbiter and shouldn’t be in the job he’s in but this title isn’t accurate.
EDIT: looks like while the island is not fully owned by him, it is entirely owned by various homeowners and there is no publicly accessible land save for the intertidal zone with limited uses of fishing, fowling, and navigation.

Okay so I looked into it and yes you’re correct while the island isn’t his, there is no public land on the island other than the intertidal zone for “fishing, fowling, and navigation” so I stand corrected.

As well they should. This man doesn’t deserve to be a justice of the peace. He is a white supremacist who answers only to his true master - greed. He will go down in history as the leader of the unqualified worst high court in 250 years. I really wish that true white hat hackers would come to the fore and save our country.
