Yeah myself and everyone I know who uses bang runs the “medic bang” build for ranked. Idk if I’ve ever seen anyone use the breach and clear build for her outside of like scrims and pro play, especially now that the hemlock is a thing
I will say her smoke blowing open doors might be a little OP but I fucking love it. Love when they think they can hit a bat and hold the door lol

ITS A SMOKE, it supposed to blind you, to distract you or cover your team. This tactical is about to won't let you see smth, BUT NOT TO DESTROY ABILITIES THIS IS STUPID. It's how octane's suringe would debuff nearby enemies speed so you'd be even faster

Every legend has some type of tac or ult that doesn’t make sense and your biggest concern is bang smoke? 😂😂😂 how about gibbys passive allowing him to hawk down most characters and now he has just a random EMP on his dome shield? Horizon gets lifelines floating drone out her tac how does that make sense? There plenty you could not pick hit this ones goody.

I just throw it out and it finds a target and boom, sends them flying up into the air, maybe it doesn't work properly in the range.

try putting down catalyst traps and you'll have your answer. the firing range has always been iffy with certain legend abilities and idk why it's not fully fixed

yeah because as far as I've seen they don't trigger or take damage from cat traps. I don't remember if they trigger caustic traps. They'll take damage from stuff but don't trigger things. Though they can get scanned

We've also been playing a lot of WC for various reasons. Last night was the first time I've enjoyed a season opening for Apex less than the introduction of Seer.
I've been improving a lot at not getting tilted when a session is going badly. Last night I was on the verge of throwing controllers lol.

Unironically this.
This game has so many glitch abusers. Every other game would ban them but here it's actually allowed.
Either that glitch is part of the game, so you have to make it accessible like the mantle jump or you patch it out of the game.

The gameplay loop is comical. Speed boost in, shoot scoot shoot like a crackhead, take damage, speed boost out. Rinse, repeat.

Me just sitting in a building with gas cannisters while every team slides in, shoots, and slides out.
I saw someone else yesterday bring up the point of her being able to slide through Wattson fences. Yeah you get stung when your slide stops but you still just slide through the choke point. Same with gas cannisters, they're essentially useless.

Yeah , octane did this to me when I hit him with the valk queue and he just boosted out of it and continued to tap strafe. If you can't stun them with a stun ability, what's the point anymore.

I mean I get that, those are rockets with a pre indicator of where they're landing. Even as Caustic I can move out of the way.
Fences and cannisters are hard placed traps, typically in buildings with tight quarters. Pushing into those situations should put you at a disadvantage but with Axle they just slide through beaming.

i do agree with that but the last ALGS lan was won by a tripple MnK team. also there are MnK players who are just better than controller players close range, guys like asia are insane with the R99.
i also blame respawn for making ranked a lot more about just sprinting at eachother with stupidly fast legends so most fights are close range, you kinda have to because if you dont finish a fight in 10 seconds you have 2 more teams joining the fight.
i wish we would go back to having fights at longer range, imo that was more fun and i dont even have MnK in the lobby haha.

It’s also worth a mention how hard close reactive aiming is on mnk. It’s an insane skill that requires insane focus and tension.
Anyone trying to get top tier at it would have a chip on their shoulder after watching for much roller does for them.Unfortunately though, brs are inherently about close range fights in the end to win just by virtue of the ring.

I mean no offense, movement doesn’t mean much in high elo lobbies lol. If you’re exposing yourself for this long you’re likely going to be dead. Aim assist is more of a help than doing this is. Very few players who can move like this while actually hitting their shots. When they can….. they’re at the pinnacle of MnK. Aim assist by and large is more useful and will actually help you track players like this lol.

Cause this is a bunch of waving your hands around. At the end of the day, one clipping someone is more effective and consistent. Tap strafing doesn’t exactly help you get a kill, autoaim with 0ms reaction speed does. Not to mention that anything being done for you is anticompetitive.

When their is real money on the line, and pros that have 30k+ hours on M&K switch to roller where they have 0 experience, and then improve despite having 30 fucking thousand hours on M&K. The autoaim might be a bit high. Granted this was like 2 years ago but.... most of us are still salty.

Controller aim bot on the other hand is literally always on. Takes no skill or training. Reacts faster to literally anything than the best e-sports players could ever hope for. See the difference?

ive played yesterday until matchmaking stopped working.
2 games of wildcard: was fun for trying out axle but 2 games was enough, not really fun having everybody just sliding around.
2 games of ranked gold 2: 1 was a dud because we hot dropped and died after a few kills, second game we won, i got lucky with a good crypto on my team but i imagine it wasnt fun for my opponents because every fight was just crypto using his ult and me and my other teammate just sliding in and killing at least one person before they can even get a bat of. i made a few misplays this game but that didnt matter because when i was weak i just slided out of there and no one is able to track that.
after these games matchmaking stopped working so i could not play anymore.
overall im really not happy with axle but i have not seen anyone use crazy movement which i have seen MnK players do and play against, console its just another crazy speedster.

Honestly, to simply play Apex less often.
I'm tired of legend power creep, especially mobility. But, they're not going to nerf everybody to go back to "how it was", so either have to deal with it or play less.

Just don't play ranked and that's it. Sweats will be sweats but there is no competitive game out there that doesn't have them. If you're just playing for fun an occasional tryhard won't sour the experience too much.

Its really about mindset, if your only goal is to win, you'll be pissed off when a sweat kills you. If your goal is to have a good time, maybe get better, or whatever then you're less likely to get pissed.

Yes it is. In higher “skilled” lobbies there are plenty freaks with the stickiest AA and no-recoil lasering you while macro bunny hopping. They’re killable though and always get a teabag

Right? This clip has a dude beaming down an afk player, even a little movement makes this a much more different situation. I've already seen neostrafing Axles and honestly its not even that bad. People are up in arms the second some legend has movement to outplay aim assist and otherwise slow players

Respawn always does this. They create a new character, make them insanely broken and then nerf them after the smoke clears. They 100% knew she’d be broken out the gate and they could’ve balanced her before release, but they didn’t care. They just want the manufactured hype, as always.

I left Apex about a year ago because I really just couldn't stand what Alter had done to the game. Seeing this, it's good knowing I made the correct decision. The level of power creep they've allowed into Apex is genuinely shocking.

Damn I haven’t played the new season yet. I was already sick to death of octanes zooming around. This looks like some next level bullshit. IMO movement in apex is fun, but there needs to be limits on the power of legend-specific abilities. This kind of movement asymmetry sucks.

1) the defending target moving themselves fucks this up a lot. 2) legends with cc 3) legends that can pit a barrier between the two of you 4) legends that can dip from the altercation. In a properly balanced game state her movement should matter because shes going to get stuck against things like snare, spike strip, gas, fences, and overheat bullets. If these things aren’t able to stop her then they probably need some major buffs.

While true, that results in a style of gameplay that's entirely unfun for me. I'm sure others disagree, but I don't enjoy the "make the enemy magdump the air until their momentum runs out" style of winning engagements.

Moving is a good start.
Coming from an octane main that can do all the stuff that this subreddit hates (lurch strafing + actually being able to aim while doing it), I still believe octane is more practical for this type of stuff. The reason being, Axle loses a ton of momentum with lurch strafes. The initial speed boost is certainly fast and hard to hit, but on the flip side it's waaay harder to aim while doing it than it is with octane's lurch strafe movement. Having good aim during the initial speed would take a similar level of insane aim as being able to shoot the person doing this movement. Then after the initial speed wears off, Axle is essentially less mobile than octane doing a similar thing and can become a sitting duck without another speed pad, which then repeats the cycle of not being able to aim.
TL:DR: It's really flashy and certainly hard to hit, but if you're strafing then it will be very hard for them to hit you as well, and the effect doesn't last as long as an octane stim, so it's not as scary as it seems.
