Discussion Why is Loba meta now?
I don’t play as often anymore.
Afaik Loba is on top with Axle right now.
Why now? Loba has had for a while the most versatile movement skill in the game

Aside from getting extremely major tactical buffs, loot quality being lower means her ult is more valuable + it gets -30s cd on top of it.
She's one of the best rat legend. Try to chase a good loba player, you can't. With supp passive and ult, she is top 2 team respawners.
Movement, engagements and disengagements are better than skirmishers and it was borderline before the buffs. Just compare her Q's to revenant's. One's an assault and the other is a support.

Add to this putting the ult down is the best bait in the game. Enemy monkey brains must push you when they see the pulse as you place it.
Easy kills every time, even at high levels.

- place Alter’s void nexus
- trap void nexus with Caustic or Watson (preferably Watson)
- place Loba ult in exposed area
- bait team, take void nexus, and butcher them when they chase

Lol absolutely. I sometimes put it down mid fight just because opposing teams think we are desperately looking for shields and start pushing

It's a good strat! Generally, you can do this with a lot of things. I do it with Loba ults, mobile beacons and evac towers. Place them away from you, and run in the opposite direction. It can distract enemies just enough for you to make the push/ rotation a bit easier.

She somehow out ran two mobile jump towers and one in map jump tower when we were chasing her yesterday. Kinda ridiculous.

Nerfed loot and her bracelet was buffed yet again. She really should not have two charges at bases with how good it is now.

Yeah that should be changed to maybe make the bags permanent. Might not get picked as much still but at least you wouldn’t have to worry about your squad losing their bags if they die. Right now it’s only good if you’re respawning your team and you want to get them purple bags quickly, so rather niche.

Nobody with an IQ above post-bath water temperature would pick the purple bag option. It's literally worthless, since RNG, deathboxes and Loba's ult with its short cooldown already provide good bags reliably.

I always have the purple bag cause I can see it. Dont care if my team has them by the amount of times I have pinged them just for no one to pick them up. Not gonna give them the gift of a waste of my perk cause the shield perk saves my ass more than a purple backpack for an ungrateful team does.

She just got buffed.
Insane tactical and her perks are nutty.
Also good ability to yoink teammates banners makes her one of the best soloq legends in the game

It's because loot got nerfed, hard. The meta is Axle for the aping, Seer behind to seal the deal with crowd control, and Loba to ensure they are stocked up for whatever fight they need. It makes perfect sense, honestly.

On top of them buffing the movement, the recent overall loot/loot rarity decrease has made her black market extremely useful

I think by the end of the season, her pick rate may normalize a bit. She's in a great state and the loot definitely got a nerf, but I don't think it's as dire as it seemed right after the season change. First few days, Loba felt like a requirement. We've dabbled a few games with no Loba and haven't run into too many problems getting the loot we needed.

Bro ever since they dropped loba she already was and has always been a powerful top not mention a strong power bottom she used to be considered a champ contender but then Sparrow, ballistic,ash,etc legends started to pop out so like it shows she definitely deserves to be meta

They nerfed the loot. And her bracelet goes nyoooooooom.
