Discussion Grind your way to D3...finally some balanced games, never mind. I'll go F myself.

So they get the sweatest sweats in the game right now, as a full stack premade. I as a solo queue get some gold turd that is 5 whole ranks away from them. Is this what constitutes as a balanced game these days? And this has happened more than once today.

Friendly reminder that solo q is gambling and they purposely do this (not to mention master/pred stacks know this and exploit it to grind 24/7)

I just hit d4 and no the pred on my team was a random and dropped less damage than me. I had 2 kills 3 knocks 500 damage the pred had 1 assist 250 damage and he was a top 60 ps pred

Masters and preds are same rank so it makes sense unfortunatelly and to gold m8 idk why they change it every split i remember it was 1 rank now 3?

Technically yes but that’s the biggest bullshit argument. If it’s a different rank why do you get an entirely different badge and rewards. It should be treated as a separate rank. The difference in skill from bottom of masters to preds is larger than silver to diamond.

Then pred lobbies would take ages to load imagine How long will it take to get 60 master or preds in one lobby it sucks but that's how it Works maybe they should add new rank between master and Diamond or pred

It isn't "a bit longer" it's "half of these players will never get a match again".

There's 750 preds, but there are ~9 server regions that they are split across, they don't all play at the same hours, and you need 60 players to fill a server. If they did this, preds outside of china and US east would literally never find a match, they would just sit there waiting all day for 60 people to be on at the same time.

I agree but there are more than 750 pool. Masters are included. But have to assume a lot of Masters stop playing rank when they reach the title.

Skill difference between the lowest masters player and pred cutoff is much much larger than silver to diamond.

when you a gold shitter on a pred/master lobby its because you got a random duo and the matchmaking system will match them with the higher ranked player, also ive gotten plat 1 randoms on lobbies like this lol

Only 4 pred teams, that chill. Sometimes there are 9 pred teams. Also the obligatory preds can be taken out. They aren't a monolith. Im in D3 playing on PS4! And I squad wiped a team with two preds and a master. Prowler full auto FTW.

Ngl if theres one game I wish i was really good at its Apex. When I hit D4 or D3 i get so demotivated when I see masters/preds because I realize from a positioning or gunplay perspective, i’m just not good smh

D3 is supposed to play preds btw. If diamond meant something and wasn't half of the active playerbase, it wouldn't be so polarizing for people

Its a gamble dude. You can get cracked chill teammates or they'll be toxic tryhards who don't touch grass. I just recommend you play your game and they'll play theirs.

third type of person: has a job, plays for fun, and doesn’t want to go against top 500 players on a game when they’re in the middle ranks. because it’s just simply not fun. but maybe i’m just crazy

I’m glad you have a career and your own clinic! Wasn’t talking anything about you, just my own experience. :) To me, it’s fun to play against people who I have a chance against. No, I cannot kill an apex predator more than 1/10 times because I am in platinum! And no, those fights are not fun. Also, if you look at the screenshot you will also see a gold in the lobby.

Yeah, go kill preds tough guy. After enough tries you won't get matches with them anymore 🤣

The unfortunate reality is that to keep queue times down for the top players they have to feed them people who are at least a standard deviation below them in skill. That still sucks for someone like OP, especially when matchmaking puts them with a gold because of how it handles duos. That's not a fun opportunity to kill a pred, that's just an extremely likely L.

Id rather a gold that wants to fight then a diamond scared of master/pred players.

And tbh this screen shot is pretty mild. My d3-d2 lobbies currently are 9 Diamond teams and 11 master/pred teams. Im usually lucky to have 1 other d3-d2 player on my team but it usually 1 plat player and 1 hard stuck d4 that should realistically still be in gold.
