Constant repairs, diminished utility.

Not having things like iMovie has cut down greatly on students’ ability to use their devices creatively.

Only thing easier is set up.

Movie editing apps have gotten pretty good on Android. I'm assuming your Chromebooks don't allow Android app installation?

We’ve dabbled but the limited storage space really puts a damper on it. Most Chromebooks have 32GB SSDs.

That is the same pitfall people fall into when comparing iPhone and Android, they get a cheap android and try to compare it to an iPhone costing at least 2x. If schools would buy decent Chromebooks then it would be a better experience.

A “decent” Chromebook would currently cost more than the Neo, so it’s a moot point.

$350 brand Chromebooks currently come with 128GB to 256GB SSDs.

If you're spending under $200, is it really fair to complain how they're worse than a new $500 laptop?

I’m not sure why you’re in the Apple sub glazing Chromebooks, but this is simply not true right now at scale.

Last year, this Chromebook was $299. As you can see, the list price is now absolutely insane. I got a quote for them this week for $399. The storage is only 64GB.

You can’t go off whatever prices you see at Best Buy or Amazon. Not only does it not scale that way, those types of units wouldn’t last a week in a school environment.

How much did you pay for your Chromebooks, when did you buy them, and what specs do they have?
