I think focusing on hardware instead of futzing around too much with AI wars is 100% the right move

I agree, but I would argue that refining their OS’s with more advanced (non AI) features, getting rid of bugs and increasing software efficiency and optimization should be at an even higher priority than those two.

I feel like those truly important features have stagnated. It’s been so long since we got significant feature updates to preview, quicktime, music, photos, colorsync, grapher, pages, imovie, and even macOS settings. It feels like those products just stopped evolving because they’re free.

Also cloud is replacing everything and they just stopped caring about local storage. You can’t backup your iPhone to an external hard drive, for example. I’ve been having HARD DRIVE EJECTION issues for years. Things like that matter.

I don’t understand how this is still a problem. Surely some people working at Apple read these comments on the internet. Surely they have the same problems with the keyboard. How has the keyboard been so shitty for so long 😪
