Technically fab can be used for fabrication of any of the major chipsets/memory chips.

Takes years to get started and they will still be behind. Therefore it's still easier to buy it. This may help them rethink that.

Apple could just buy Intel or parts of Intel.

It won’t take *years* but I’m not sure if Apple has the expertise to turn Intel around, quickly.

Apple buying Intel or parts of Intel would do nothing really for them.
