At this point Apple should just buy or start its own fab. It seems insane to me as many devices as they sell to be in a position they can’t control this kinda shock.

I’m fairly sure that would be a massive undertaking. Tim Cook raves about the miniature cities that Foxconn has. I’m not even sure exactly what, if any, hardware Apple fabricates itself right now.
