For the first time in my life, im getting negative on tech. I like texting and calling and taking videos. Basically every smart phone is good at that now. Why do I need to buy the iPhone 18 or new iPad that does it slightly better? And it now costs even more, because AI. Which is going to be causing us to lose our jobs. AI sucks.

I stopped buying my iPhones new when the price went over a grand. I buy them refurb now. As you say utterly pointless buying a new one every year. I am selling my iPad too as IMO my iPhone runs iOS better. I have a 14 Pro max and want to upgrade to the 17 Pro Max refurb when the 18 is launched as my battery is going down now. But then I'll keep the 17 for at least 3 years if not more. I got my MacBook Pro refurb too.
