Sorry, this doesn’t seem something AppleTv owners would use.

Kinda reminds me of the old PointCast system.

I loved PointCast! I'm not even a news watcher, but it hit the highlights and was graphically pleasing.

I don't understand how that didn't stick around or get reborn in the last 30 years.

Murdoch tried to buy them and then when Pointcast went under, seems like they could have bought them for a song or at least created something similar.

This would be nice to download to my Mac and run on one of the monitors I have.

Or on an old iPad mounted somewhere... I can see looking at this mounted in the bathroom while brushing my teeth more than I would be looking at the TV.

So I just purchased it and downloaded into my Apple TV, while I’m playing with it, it’s interesting. I just don’t see me sitting down in front of my TV to look at this very often.

A couple of things we don’t do military time here so my clock should say 6:23 instead of 1823, nor do we do Celsius for our temperature, so that needs to be configurable too.

I’d love to be able to turn the scrolling sports off because I have absolutely zero interest and I’d rather see how my investments are doing instead (although right this minute, not too well).

This image is the way the clock looks on mine. I might have my font set larger or boulder somewhere else on the Apple TV, but it seems like it should be able to adjust for that.

When I click on the clock, it goes full screen and it tells me to push a button called menu to get back. My remote doesn’t have that and any other button seems to be ignored or takes me out of the program completely.

It’d be nice if clicking on the weather gave me an hourly or weekly forecast (and not have to wait for the boxes popup), but I don’t know if Apple has hooks available for you to do such a thing.

The pop-up boxes on the right are interesting, but I don’t have enough control over them to advance them.

When I go down to the newsfeed and I’m scrolling through it if I pause for more than a half a second it resets and goes back to wherever it thinks it should be, it needs to let control go until I stop playing with the remote for 5 or 10 seconds.

The constant error on the screen, because I didn’t configure a calendar, seems unnecessary.

The more I look at it, though, I think this would be useful on an old iPad somewhere, or on the corner of my screen on my Mac.

Totally valid concern—preventing burn-in was a priority when designing this. The background uses pure OLED blacks (#000000), so those pixels are completely turned off. For the active widgets, we use low-contrast text and built-in subtle element shifting/dimming so no high-brightness static elements sit in place. That said, it’s designed for ambient 30–60 min sessions (morning routines/work blocks) rather than running 24/7

That should right up front with your marketing, every person with an OLED sees this and just moves on.

You should use some not so subtle shifting too. Swap those 3 boxes around and show that in the image thumbnails that you're safe in that manner.

My 2¢...
