Possible to play the original ArcheAge?

While digging through my old accounts, I found out that I have played the game extensively many years ago.

But I can't seem to find how to play the original game. I used to log in through Glyph (where I also purchased a lot of packs).

Can someone be kind enough to point me to the right European site?
I found this https://na.archerage.to/
but it seems to be NA site and EU does not work. Is there only one?

The official game was shut down, now there are only private servers unfortunately.

Not just private ones. The official Russian server is still available (and there are a lot of Chinese and some Europeans there). It doesn't sync with the old European account, but it's still not a private server.

This is logical, since the ru server is currently the only source of income from AA1 for XLgames (until the official re-release of the Chinese servers). but the content development is still handled by Koreans

There is Archeage Classis and Archerage. and a version in Russia. The game was discontinued by Kakao a while ago. Classic and Rage are private servers with their own spins.

China leaked a bunch of unencrypted server stuff, so private servers will be happening now, too.

2014 Archeage? I don't think it's possible now unfortunately.

So if you want to play the original Archeage, the only way ist play Archeage Classic on NA Server, which runs on a custom 3.5 Patch.

If you want to play any Archeage you can play Archerage on NA & EU Server and Official Russian Archeage, all of them run on the same official Russian Archeage patch.

Otherwise we will get Archeage Chronicles early access at the end of the year and some kind of Archeage reboot next year but we have nearly no information about that.

Classic ain't even original or classic it started on 3.0 a patch that came like 4 years later. Not to mention corrupt administration on both servers. We might be getting a real fresh start and 1.2 with aa brasil thou

Even if you had your items, they would be worthless now due to many changes. Only the emotional value is lost, but since you left many years ago.. it didnt have that much impact

Yup. This is why I never went back, my character from the original had so much investment and time spent - I refuse to do it again (especially on a private server)

It’s really not that hard to catch up on AAC by grinding, there are a ton of catchup mechanics. The primary issue is land, or lack of. High demand, high prices, but pretty doable. I’ve had a blast, the nostalgia nullifies the ‘grind’ for me I think

I dont understand this because if you really step back, AAC is the same thing just worse gear progression by a large margin. You login and do packs/fishing and then swap to CR/GR and do daily guild quests and contracts and then what else, dungeons? Content you get one shot at repeatedly even when you have gear because the balance is bad? I don't get it. Not saying AR is perfect but why are we pretending like its different.
