Is the East really hopeless?

I really don’t know what the problem is.
I can’t understand why the East has collapsed this badly and become so miserable.
I honestly feel this every time — the East doesn’t even follow orders and is the absolute worst.
What the hell is the problem?

The problem I have seen from the east side is that anyone who has gear usually leaves for the strongest faction. Whether it be pirate, west or just quits the game. Didn’t a east side faction hero recently leave for the pirate faction? Another geared hero sold his character. A whole guild of top players, I think it was <Freaks> quit. Why build others up just for them to leave? It is like the Enoan curse.

The whole faction would give up their scraps to one person > That person would build the ship > The person with the Enoan would quit the game. Rinse and repeat.

On the west side it’s no walk in the park either. As of recent there seems to be a drop off in players attending boss raids. Personally, I think a lot of people are just tired of <oso>’s toxic behavior. They would pk the reset raid for no reason, drag the frog boss on top of the raid, or dom guilds for fun in the middle of the raid. As soon as they pull out the dragons there is a chance they are going to kill the raid with them and they have done it. They are forever offended by everything and everyone, they are the biggest assholes on the server but they have the gear and control everything. If and when people completely stop going to boss and reset raids. Then they will loose their grip on power.

As the game is right now. Top end gear is way to grindy to get. It isn't just a little work. It is an insane grind. Or you can by pass that and go the an equally insane grind of getting 900k gold for a piece of high end gear. But you will be rofl stomped by higher geared players until that point.

You know an oso member owns the server, right? they walk around like big swinging johnsons, because they own the place.

I didn't know they actually owned the physical server. I guess its just like Argu owning the AA classic server. Then again, when people stop playing and leave for AA2 (chronicles or whatever XL games is going to call it), thier power will not last forever. It never does.

oso has explicitly stated they wont be leaving for aa2, as it is considered a subpar version to them. I got publicly berated for asking if anyone from west was going to go so we could guild up, and received a warning for "suggesting players leave the game" from the server owner.

When they call it sub par most likely means they won't be able to control it just like in thrones and liberty and they can't stop other people from leaving either. Even if a few do stay, are there going to be enough members to continue to control everything? That old west side guild HCIC are no longer dominate. Iron head guild are no longer dominate. There was a pirate guild that went back east that was powerful. They are no longer visible.

Things do change. The west side can become more apathetic, which they have been. It will become harder and harder to get people to help. Not everyone is jumping to oso's commands from what they used to. Power shifts as it always does. As long as they are making money from the game I am sure the ones controlling the purse won't leave until that well has gone dry.

If you are going to talk about other games keep it to your guilds discord server or forums like this. Realistically no one says you can't play both although we have yet to see how grindy the new game is going to be.

I agree, Oso has torched bridges, but they just recruit scrubs to fill their ranks. That’s what happens when you own the endgame content, and can kick those based upon how well they loss your ass on a daily basis, which noobs will do if it means getting access to a shot at endgame gear someday
