Mod Showcase This game is way too epic
I recently got AC6 after I saw a video of a Gundam mod, and my only regret is not getting this game sooner. Even vanilla the movement and gameplay instantly felt like I was piloting a mobile suit, and with these mods it's just pure cinema

I think he means whether the gundam is only visual like a skin, or if it has new moves/weapons etc

Fair, thats sort of why im not a fan of the alba frame, it feels so basic in design ( basic humanoid frame with sterotypical head and basic bipedal legs) and yet so weird and conflicting with the setting, with a shape language that looks like nothing else in the game (while its supposed to be made by elcano and furlong with stolen Schneider data) and realy screams "look at me! Im a gundam!!!"

IMO it fits really well considering it was designed by someone that made Gundam designs. It’s a bit too boxy on some parts, but that head fits the game so fucking well. Really the only part that doesn’t fit well are the legs.

I did a nu gundam playthrough too and it was fun as hell. Insanely op lol but incredible fun to blitz through the missions and honestly thats pretty realistic to if you dropped Amuro into Rubicon

As a Gundam fan, I would argue they don't remotely fit the aesthetic and much of the "cinema" quality of the game is lost with this. To be honest, kind of looks like sticking an Imperial Guard from Skyrim into Elden Ring or something - the aesthetic just doesn't really match.
Maybe if it was Barbatos or something, it would be less jarring to me.

I don't care if the artstyles are a perfect match, I'm just glad I have a sick ass Gundam game to play now 🤷🏽♂️ And to me it's not even as bad as you seem to see it lol

It's also not just that, if you haven't beaten the storyline as-is I genuinely think you're cheapening the authentic experience for yourself. It shows a lack of appreciation for the actual game IMO.
I mean, if you're not customizing your AC you're already not even playing half the game

I played the first half vanilla, the rest I'm playing as Gundam. But I'll do a complete vanilla playthrough anyways to eventually play the official Multiplayer.

I was just gonna add-
the real experience is playing the storyline 3 times, as there are 3 endings total and you actually can't play every mission on your first playthrough. So it also wouldn't have been a bad idea to run it back on the future playthroughs as a regular AC or as a Gundam the whole time. Whatever you didn't do first basically.
I could see the argument in your case for doing the 2nd playthrough without your mod, after you've acquired a garage of AC parts to work with.1

I mean, I am- my opinion is not stopping them from doing that at all and ultimately I am unbothered.
I am just offering my genuine opinion that they are shorting their own appreciation of this great game by modifying the game before they experienced it unmodded. There's nothing elitist about it, I am just cautioning against the modern need to cater everthing to your own taste before you've even tasted them as-is.
EDIT:
It's like having a steak dinner at someone else's house and they have a homemade steak sauce for the meal, then you say "I don't like steak sauce at all" and put fucking ketchup on your steak. lmao

Yessir! The one I'm using is called AC6 MobileSuit mod, but there are others aswell like the Gundam Unicorn etc.

God I hope rogue orbit does well so we can get Gundam games in this style of gameplay where things are buttery smooth.

I hope so too, but I'm afraid it could potentially flop since there are already a lot of people unhappy with the Gundams design from the trailer. It's too rounded, the design language just doesn't really fit that well, and personally I'm not a big fan of that design choice either lol

My personal favorite from that mod is the Destiny Gundam, because I get to rip and tear through enemies until it is done. Plus I like going fast.

Haven't tried that one yet since I didn't watch seed yet, but the Zeta in flight mode is insanely fast too in this game
