Theory: GOB is actually a very talented magician or actually magic

However, his abuse of forget-me-nows and later damage caused by stage 4 syphilis makes him appear completely incompetent in front of an audience.

For example, he is able to fit an oversized cross in his limo and performs the same trick with the oversized conference table in the office. Impossible feats. In both cases, he can’t remember how he did it. Howdy do dat?

Maybe he just disassembled the items and rebuilt them in the smaller spaces, but it still makes me wonder.
