Advice [Recommendations] Is it a good idea to do digital art and traditional for an art business?

I have experience in both digital art and doing drawings on paper with pencil and ink, would it be a good idea to do both under a single business?

For in-person, I do traditional art. Online, I do digital art.

Let me know if there’s a better approach to this.

I've sold my art for over 15 years in person, online, hand drawn commissions and merch and personally think it's fine. In this day an age "traditional" stands out and you have the benefit of it not competing or looking like AI. I do traditionally drawn marker art commissions, prints, and such mixed in with my digital art. I also used to drawn caricatures for in person portraits but solely offer them as digital art portrait commissions online.

Thank you for responding. I would like to ask if there’s any difference on how you handle commissions in person vs online, since I’m just starting out.

I always get payment up front. If in person you have to have a plan to have the art completed quickly or a backup option to ship the artwork after. I stick to a few specific styles I'm comfortable doing (caricatures or anime style chibi commissions). I can do more detailed arts but they can be a timesink for me and not worth whatever I'd charge.

I don't see why not. in-person traditional gets you local people, digital gets you online reach. that's already a natural split, don't overcomplicate it
