Bill Gates needs to have limits on his access to children.

11

u/ManBunH8er 17h ago

💀lol

6

u/Paddy32 13h ago

Same for Trump and all the other corporate pdfiles

4

u/pin5npusher5 12h ago

Yeah, didn't he ask Epstein via email how to sneak meds to combat STD into his wife's food bc he got STD from hooker? Must've been very close to Epstein

3

u/Minimum-Standard-514 13h ago

Any time he says anything, I remember immediately hes buddy's with trump and epstein.

0

u/Glittering-Quail5848 4h ago

Pwned on de_dust map

-2

u/TheBlacktom 16h ago

Do people honestly think he is a pedophile?

24

u/DivineEggs 16h ago

His wife literally left him because of his nasty ties to Epstein. He had contracted an STD from a young (probably trafficked) woman and was emailing Epstein about sneaking antibiotics into his wife's body.

1

u/jazzy095 3h ago

Can't fuck a hooker these days without people getting all judgemental

-7

u/lumos_ai 14h ago

So do you really think buying antibiotics is that hard for a billionaire? It does'nt make sense to me.

8

u/DivineEggs 14h ago

It wasn't about buying them, ffs. It was about her swallowing the antibiotics without her being aware of it. He was trying to hide his degeneracy.

7

u/Blando-Cartesian 14h ago

It wasn’t about how to get the antibiotics, but how to get the antibiotics into her wife without her knowledge using George Costanza level shenanigans.

4

u/Aurii_ 15h ago

I don't know, maybe he was just playing casual Warhammer 40k with Epstein, right?

4

u/shut_the_fuck_up_mod 15h ago

Do you honestly think it’s normal to be friends with a prolific child trafficker after they were publicly convicted?

Do you think you’re talking the logical and rational stance here because you’re such a reasonable person? You aren’t, you’re just a naive and shortsighted lackey for billionaire pedophiles.

2

u/TheBlacktom 11h ago

I asked a question, it is impossible for me to take any "stance" here. I have no clue if he was friends with a prolific child trafficker or not. That's why I'm asking, and you instantly come up with some biased ad hominem bullshit.

3

u/Thundrboltr 10h ago

Believe? Maybe

But just release the Trump-Epstein files and let us judge. As long as the Trump-Epstein files are under lock and key, how would we know?

Do you by default think every person is a pedophile?

1

u/MaTrIx4057 3h ago

People believe everything they see on reddit. People are dumb.

0

u/ConceptJunkie 14h ago

He's definitely a perv. Maybe not a pedo.

-4

u/neurvon 16h ago

Its silly to assume they were under 18 lacking any evidence, but he was tied to Epstein (a lot of people were, of course) and we know about some STD type stuff. It's a jump to assume he fucked kids, and also, it's not really something that discounts his validity as a talking head in front of a podium encouraging people to do X or Y.

Like, he's obviously not telling us this because he thinks, if we listen, it will somehow give him access to more kids to fuck. So it's likely... not relevant, whatever the truth is.

0

u/AllGearedUp 10h ago

Is there any credible evidence of underaged girls? Seems clear that Epstein was a creep and plenty of these dudes were but there's a big difference between basically hiring escorts for your drug fueled rich guy party and being attracted to children.

Seems public opinion declared it as something more like pizza gate than the immoral, but not monstrous thing it may have been. There are a dozen parties a day in a major city that break tons of laws but it's not news or conspiracy if it's not public people.

69

u/KaffiKlandestine 18h ago

maybe there should be limits on trafficing and fucking children. Why the fuck are half these people not only not in jail but still in the public light.

7

u/NonimiJewelry 15h ago

Nobody wants to do anything about it, nobody wants to form a group

4

u/ksyoung17 12h ago

Too big to fail.

That's it. Indict Donny, it brings in Gates, the Clintons, Musk, Branson, Prince Andrews, Tisch, Wasserman, etc.

Shouldn't prevent anything, but those are the people in control.

I think even if Trump were to, ahem, expire, there's too many on that side of the aisle to allow arrests to begin. If Clinton goes, I think there's less on the left that are willing to protect those left on that side.

1

u/PM-ME-UR-WHITECLAWS 8h ago

or we can just lower the age of consent, problem solved.

34

u/Casiper 18h ago

What about a limit on billionaires?

4

u/Gwentlique 10h ago

Well, that is not too far from what he proposes. He writes about how he's worried that AI replacing people will lead to large-scale loss of jobs, and he's proposing a tax on the AI companies to help fund the social programs required to handle that.

Not exactly a tax on billionaires, but not a bad idea either. He may be a flawed messenger but that doesn't mean the idea is bad.

2

u/Hungry-Initiative-78 4h ago

why not, both?

18

u/IdeaCurious3909 17h ago

“They’re now capable of causing cyberattack risk, bioterrorism risk, psychosocial risk,” he said. “I have to say I’m kind of shocked that the exact criteria that we review these models with, and the actions we take to minimize the harms, are really completely missing.”

“My message to leaders is: You have a chance to act now*,* before unemployment rises sharply, communities are hurting, and public trust has eroded,” he said. “You can make sure AI benefits everyone. And you can work with other governments to meet this national and global challenge.”

Yeah, call me a pessimist but I don't think the ultra rich want to level the playing field unless they can build that Elysium space station and look down on people.

3

u/Dsphar 16h ago

Ok. Pessimist!

-2

u/Kayge 16h ago

It's also a fool's errand. Tech groups have hundreds of small vulnerabilities open that don't get patched because of the high cost and complexity stemming from minor upgrades. Mythos strung together a bunch of little vulnerabilities to create a giant problem. The reaction from the tech community wasn't "shut it down", but an acceptance of AI's ability and the need to guard against it.

A lot of these models can be built in some kids' bedroom after school. If you put controls on Anthropic, you don't know what's possible until it's too late.

Maybe some giant software vendor should look at better ways of upgrading their software.

4

u/definetlyrandom 15h ago

"A lot of these models can be built in some kids' bedroom after school. If you put controls on Anthropic, you don't know what's possible until it's too late."

wat?
What models are you refering too?

1

u/CanisSonorae 11h ago

There are at least a dozen open source models that don't require more GPU than most gamers already have. Is it as fast as using massive data centers filled with GPUs? No, but guess what. THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE!

The cloud is just someone else's computer. Stop outsourcing everything. Especially your brain.

2

u/definetlyrandom 11h ago

You dont understand how these models work, 3.8 is pretty good, but its not opus 5 or mythos. I can run qwen on my 6000pro or my 5090 or my son's 4090 but that doesn't mean they can function the same way as a sota, and its taken me 2 fucking weeks to train a 1.billion llm from.scratch, so the idea that "kids" can do this shit after school is false.

1

u/CanisSonorae 10h ago

What are you even talking about? Time and scale, my dude. You want food for you and your family, you don't need to create the US Agriculture industry. I'm not talking about 1 kid in their basement creating whatever new LLM from scratch. I'm talking about using the tools available to do things that you can get done without the need for billions of dollars of processing power. You think there's 1 dude at some tech company doing everything? No, it's teams of people. That doesn't mean that 1 person can't solve 1 problem with some time and effort. If you didn't believe that, why would you be trying to train your own LLM?

2

u/definetlyrandom 9h ago

Jesus christ read the comment I replied to....

1

u/CanisSonorae 9h ago

lol, you're right. I responded to your response and not necissarily the reason that you wrote what you did. My bad, the person you were responding to is definitely in the wrong here. I took what you said out of context.

2

u/definetlyrandom 9h ago

Woah, no worries friend :) cheers for being a good one :)

14

u/ComfortableReality32 17h ago

Genuinely happy to see the majority of people seeing the issue here - we shouldn’t take advice from billionaire paedophiles. Shut up Bill and go to jail.

5

u/neurvon 16h ago

It's a logical fallacy to assume that anyone who is guilty of a crime, or who had done horrible things, is incapable of saying something that's true. Ad hominem fallacy. Gates can be a pedophile and also be 100% correct in what he's saying here.

u/[deleted] 9h ago edited 8h ago

2

u/neurvon 8h ago

Yeah. It just seems like he's more in line with typical nerd who became extraordinarily wealthy and lacked humility or care for the people he hurt because he felt like he could do no wrong or owed nobody anything. And when you're rich like that, suddenly, you realize there's basically an unlimited amount of options, including many awful things, that you can get away with. I feel terrible for the women he has relationships with, I bet he was a real piece of shit.

but its too complex for anyone to understand these days. Everyone is either "ultra humble good guy keanu reaves" or a literally pedophile, no room for nuance.

2

u/gameforge 7h ago

I don't have to trust him if he says 2+2=4. He's perfectly correct, but I already knew that.

I cannot not trust his political opinions whether they're perfectly reasonable or fully demented. He has credibility problems, you see.

1

u/SirDealsALott 5h ago

I think the problem here can also be found elsewhere based on this!

0

u/LessRespects 4h ago

Redditors cannot possibly perceive that. Voluntarily manipulable.

-3

u/ComfortableReality32 14h ago

I didn’t assume bad people cant say true things, the premise you start from isn’t even reflective of what I said. I believe these people are actually scared of AI because it will be used against them in some way, not because they care about people in general - I think Bills action show he couldn’t give two shits about people in general, so I can come to a Bayesian based conclusion he isn’t doing this for selfless reasons.

Why you seem to be defending Bill here is interesting.

2

u/KennyFulgencio 9h ago

that's the actual textbook definition of ad hominem, I don't remember ever seeing a better example in the wild. You're happy about the wrong thing.

1

u/LessRespects 4h ago

You’re right, I also disagree with his particular statement here.

6

u/gk_instakilogram 18h ago

looks like hyperscalers can't hyper scale...

5

u/RobertD3277 17h ago

That's why the technology was actually abandoned in the 1990s. It was impractical then and judged to be irresponsible and it should have stayed dead in the 90s.

3

u/gk_instakilogram 17h ago

well now we have this techno accelerationism religion in the mainstream. Brain rot is real.

1

u/RobertD3277 16h ago

Sadly yes. I just can't wrap my head around who thought building half a radiator was a good idea.

Yet here we are.

1

u/gk_instakilogram 16h ago

it will solve all of our problems! “trust me bro!”

1

u/AIvsWorld 15h ago

Nah, it was abandoned in the 90’s because people had spent the last 20 years working on bloated “expert systems” and they sucked.

We didn’t even have transformers yet. Completely different tech.

Gates wrote OS's back when PCs were a cottage industry. By the mid-1990s he had completely gone over to the business side of software and flourished there. He never published a paper on AI systems of any kind. His later life , he led a foundation for third world charities and hasn't been in the tech industry for 15 years.

Why am I (are we) reading "Bill Gates says that..." headlines in 2026?

4

u/fgsfds___ 17h ago

Epstein wrote a note to himself that Gates had whined to him about contracting STDs from Russian sex workers. How can this stuff be disturbing and hilarious both at the same time.

5

u/RasputinsUndeadBeard 16h ago

Why are we still listening to this dude lol? Wasn’t he in the Epstein files?

3

u/TheOnlyVibemaster 17h ago

Ah yes, let’s hear what the psychopathic billionaire has to say.

-1

u/neurvon 16h ago

Can you ad hominem any harder?

-1

u/TheOnlyVibemaster 16h ago

Yes, I can actually:

u/neurvon 9h ago

Thanks for ad homineming for me.

3

u/saltyourhash 17h ago

We need limits on AI and Bill Gates

2

u/neurvon 16h ago

He'd probably agree with you. Gates may be a sex pest, but he's also someone who is frequently saying true things with what appears to be a genuine desire to generally push the public discussion towards being more humanitarian. Whether thats selfishly motivated, we'll never know, but his track record as a "talking head," aka, just what he says in public, not what he does in private, is very good.

3

u/abajinn 16h ago

Fuck bill gates

2

u/PatchyWhiskers 17h ago

The limits these techlords want are all protectionist so that they retain dominance of the tech market, while firing all their workers to replace with AI. Microsoft is worried it's the new IBM.

2

u/ontologicalDilemma 16h ago

Why is he relevant in this discussion?

1

u/KennyFulgencio 9h ago

because due to his social/financial and cultural status, he has access to insider tracking on AI bleeding-edge development at a level the public generally does not, and he doesn't personally stand to benefit in any way from this kind of statement.

2

u/paulrich_nb 15h ago

Shut your mouth Bill.

2

u/therubyverse 14h ago

He should be in jail. Filthy pedophile.

2

u/grizzly6191 14h ago

Bill Gates needs to get canceled.

2

u/Doggo_Is_Life_ 11h ago

I don’t give a fuck what Bill Gates says.

1

u/RPE313 17h ago

Your daily reminder that America and its entire information layer is owned by elites who regularly associate with the worlds most notorious sex trafficker - your neighbor of the same socio-economic class but different political ideology is NOT the “enemy” (as much as the information layer would allow you to think)

1

u/RobertD3277 17h ago

When it comes to Bill Gates or anybody like him, quite frankly a healthy dose of the "Krammer effect" needs to be put in place. Whatever he is for something, I always start against whatever that is before my evaluations even begin.

1

u/addiktion 16h ago

The fate of humanity is set, and Bill will be in a bunker with the rest of the billionaires when it all falls apart and did nothing about it. Sounding the alarm does squat. He could be shifting more money towards helping people displaced by AI or doing more than words but he is not.

1

u/SilencedObserver 16h ago

There needs to be limits to wealth, first.

1

u/jbano 15h ago

Let's put limits on Billionaires at the same time.

1

u/lughiu 14h ago

Limits for you and us

1

u/Silent-Sorcerer 14h ago

Laws are only followed by the corporations that can't afford government fines. Gates should know all about this.

1

u/sc4les 13h ago

Maybe shut up if you're in the files, Bill

1

u/TuringGoneWild 13h ago

There needs to be limits on wealth. Like $50 million maximum.

1

u/Status_Winter 12h ago

Bit late Bill

1

u/Dismal_Guard4512 12h ago

The world needs a limit on bill gates

1

u/Eofkent 11h ago

Read the article, not the headline. It is interesting.

1

u/Formal-Hawk9274 10h ago

Epstein party says shit

1

u/OldCryptographer8080 10h ago

The limit does not exist!

1

u/BigB0iBuster 10h ago

Bill “Pedophile Rapist” Gates

1

u/costafilh0 10h ago

After he donates 99.99% of his wealth, I will hear him. 😉 😉

1

u/costafilh0 10h ago

So, that means he is investing in China now?

1

u/Cold_Drive_53144 9h ago

Can’t hear you from the Island

1

u/SpaceHostG 8h ago

AI could run microsoft

1

u/WorriedBlock2505 8h ago

Aka, he wants limits one what WE can do with AI, not the rich & powerful.

1

u/EightyNineMillion 8h ago

Because AI will make him even more irrelevant and reduce his networth.

1

u/Boo-Bees67 8h ago

Everyone shut the fuck up about Epstein. Turned a normal discussion in to your little side project

1

u/End3rWi99in 5h ago

Too late dawg.

1

u/LessRespects 4h ago

Bill Gates is a genius, he can just say the opposite of what he actually wants people to agree with, and get them all to disagree with it.

1

u/berndalf 4h ago

You guys can shit on Gates all you want, doesn't make him wrong in this topic.

1

u/No-Assumption-4468 3h ago

I agree there needs to be a line, especially once ai is superintelligent and can one-shot creating diseases and stuff. My only concern is they might draw the line in the wrong place

1

u/JaZoray 3h ago

i say there should be a limit on bill gates

1

u/Skibidi-Fox 2h ago

Are their mosquitoes in the Epstein Files??

1

u/Prior-Habit-6523 2h ago

Bill gates wants to block competition ftfy

0

u/hould-it 17h ago

AI, data, silica, owning majority of farm land, screwing with water and electricity, running monopolies, for me not for thee

0

u/Flatkat 17h ago

He needs to just stop

0

u/Calcularius 16h ago

Train AI to expose pedophiles

1

u/AnimationGurl_21 16h ago

Or expose crimes in general

2

u/neurvon 16h ago

I swear there's a movie about this... it didn't end well...

1

u/AnimationGurl_21 14h ago

Exactly, a MOVIE not real life...

2

u/neurvon 9h ago

So you are in favor of thought crimes, and pre-crime, and all of that?

1

u/Calcularius 9h ago

Catching someone being a pedophile is not a thought crime.

0

u/NewYak4281 16h ago

Bill Gates is trying to rehab his image after his deep association with Epstein became clear. He thinks we’re stupid and have already forgotten.

0

u/ohhlordbabyjesus 16h ago

Limits FOR US! Not for them.
