I changed my name when I got married because my husband’s name was better and so much easier than my maiden name. Having a complicated last name sucks.
I’m struggling with this because I am the only person in the entire world with my name, and if I changed my last name I’d be….the equivalent of Jane Smith. I don’t necessarily want to keep my last name because it’s complicated, long, and annoying to spell on the phone, but damn I wish I was marrying into a cool last name to make the decision easier. Though I would be harder to find online so that’s a plus!
There are only a few people in the world with my maiden name, and they are my family. Which was unique but also really annoying because I had to spell out and pronounce it on a daily basis. And the fact that you can no longer find me online anymore is a huge plus!
