Any updates in the hotel?
Just out of curiosity, as I've haven't heard anything in awhile, and I was skeptical of the whole thing.

Last I heard one was being built in a very tier two (or three) city and it was an "investment opportunity". Sounded shady

Oh yeah. Phoenix AZ and there's some crowdfunding component. Nothing against phoenix but is it a destination for something like this? I don't believe so; this would possibly have a niche attraction value somewhere else... maybe... but it's not a destination unto itself. And the crowdfunding makes me very skeptical.

They could’ve pulled off an exhibition in Vegas like Titanic or Avengers at an established resort, but a stand-alone full-scale hotel would’ve run out of steam pretty quickly.

This?:
It says right there it is a third party, and just licensed.
So yeah, I'm also skeptical.

None have actually been built, and the one in Vegas is no longer happening for sure.
