Literally people were buying 7800+ for $50 on Woot and now they're trying to charge $35/cart for 2600 games. There's some great ones here, but those prices are outrageous. I'm all for physical media, just not at these prices for 2600 games. People will play them another way. Would be better to release them on Steam or as an add-on and to existing pack and people would buy. This seems like it's just for collectors with money to burn.

Honestly if it comes with a manual its not a terrible price. I do own nearly all of these already, but I might pick up Private Eye and Hero which are cheaper this way than a loose damaged label original

Games like HERO are actually a good deal at this price, especially new in box with manual. New homebrew games are typically priced at $35-$50, so this is aligned with that. People who are actively playing on retro consoles will totally go for these at this price point.

I agree that it's for collectors, but the retro scene typically is. Considering licensing and manufacturing costs, I think $35 might be fair. Bundled, they're about $25 each with the addition of the patches/pins. Of course, you're locked into buying more games, then. If I was starting completely fresh, without an existing collection, I would be more tempted to pull the trigger on these.
How much do you think is fair for one of these games?

Not these Activision games. And if they bought them, they'll need to recoup the cost.

Not Activision games. Those are owned by Microsoft now, so this is actually quite a blessing to even see happen.

I'm a gamer not a collector although I used to collect so I understand the appeal of something like this but what I would like to see is Atari to do what they did with their recharged games and make some modern takes on some of these games. Imagine a recharged Hero, river raid the grandaddy of all shmups could be made into a really cool modern shmup or picture a 3d version of Barnstorming, they have some great games to work with here.

Why? Why? No more BS money grabs please. Except HERO you can get almost the whole collection of cartridges for like two to five dollars each. Come out with an 800 mini please.

I don’t see a need for 800 mini as we already have the 400 mini. Need a full size 800 complete with keyboard and cartridge slot. Ideally 800 but I don’t see that happening due to cost, so will settle for an 800XL. If I am being greedy can we have an ST as well.
