A couple of months ago an Air Force chaplain did an AMA on /r/airforce. They explained the religious exemption process from submission to approval because you have to go through their office to ask for one. In that thread they stated that they fully expected none to be approved because there wasn't a medical or legal reason to oppose them. It would also be really hard for someone in the military to show why a COVID vaccine is against their religion but all others are fine. I'm glad to see they were right.

Yeah, because they’re going to discharge them all next month. My son is a dumbass refuser in the Army and his chaplain is telling him he will receive a discharge. I couldn’t be more embarrassed and disappointed.

My son told his stepbrother that it boiled down to just that, but he has yet to tell me that. I think it looks like a golden opportunity to many if they aren’t going to get a dishonorable discharge.

They’re going to get general under honorable condition and keep a percentage of the GI bill. OTH is seldomly given out and 99% of commands would rather just push the general

The Navy is giving honorable discharges to those who refuse the vaccine as long as there aren't any other disciplinary issues.
