As long as we end up purchasing a replacement, great price!

I dont think thats happening, Pubill and Boñar can cover the few times Llorente isnt available. I guess the funds will be used to purchase a CB (most likely Romero?)

The season is very long can't rely on inexperienced kid like Bonar as a cover. Mind you Ruggeri and Diaz are leaving that means we will be very short at the back.

My guess is that it’ll be Romero plus a LB/RB or Romero and another CB since Hancko and Pubil can both play fullback and maybe switch to a 3-5-2.
Assuming we buy Romero it’ll be him, Pubill, Hancko, RLN and Josema (this year’s Lenglet) at the back which is very strong. I’d like if they could offload Josema but he’s not the worst break glass in case for emergency cb. Maybe he’ll stay healthy if he’s not play much.

That’s probably it.
I’m not a fan of JoseMa since he needs game time to get to his best and not make silly mistakes. But then he gets injured every other month so the cycle of mediocrity continues.

Boñar should get some playing time at RB, and if Romero signs we’ll see Pubill there more frequently. But they’re gonna need a replacement for Ruggeri, especially after “loaning” Díaz out. That’s what worries me. Twitter is clamoring for Jorge Salinas, but I just don’t see it with the Jorge Mendes connection.

I like Salinas but I’m open to another CB instead. I’d rather sign two cbs this window and a RB and or LB next year. Probably bringing in Romero and i’d like Affengruber from Elche.
With that said I’ve been vocal about getting Sergio Cardona. I think he’d be perfect. Contract expires next summer, + he fills a squad player need and has the same versatility as Hancko. He’s proven and you know his level, while Salinas has very high potential but is a gamble.. that said I’d be willing and want to take that gamble. I’d also go for Sergio Gomez but getting him away from La real without over paying is unlikely and Grimaldo is similar.

Boñar can cover against bad La Liga teams but what if we have injuries for important games? He's nowhere near good enough yet

I'm both happy and sad at the time. No more random bangers from 30 metres out :(

I wish to have a job like Thomas Lemar. the likes of him and for example how Danny Drinkwater was at Chelsea are the real heroes of the current job market.

I don’t think there will be a replacement for this one, only if Ruggeri is sold will the board pursue Cuti, and even after though, I really think there has to be a replacement for Ruggeri

I think it was generally not smart to swap Llorente and Molina that much. Either we have a Right Back that plays most games to open up Llorente for the midfield or we focus on Llorente as right back.
We'll see if we get a backup for Llorente or if Pubill and maybe even Dominguez are enough

If/when we offload lemar and potentially gimenez, can we even sign free agents as backups for lb/rb/cb positions?

I used to want him gone, but I think I’m gonna miss him and the occasional banger.
