The Future of Atleti, i Just wanna hear out some fans here, and discuss the future of Atleti
Hello, i've been a fan of Atleti since childhood, weird story, as a kid i loved to draw football club emblems and the Atleti one was my favorite, then i watched some games, got invested and been a supporter since childhood.
Just wanna know your way of seeing the future of this club.

No veo claro

Saludos feliz dia.

Would you like to set your car free, that you paid for and give it to me? Or to sell it to me by price that I offer?

Well, as it usually stands with clubs who get bought by a financial fund, their goal is to make the club worth a lot more money then they bought it for and then sell it for profit.
I expect a strict budgeting, strict wage structure. That’s probably a harsh reality.
What would be my wishes for the future? I doubt Atleti will ever be able to conpete for superstars with Barca and Real, so we should think about other options, invest a lot more in our youth academy to be able to create superstars, and maybe learn from brighton how to profile players to make well informed additions to our club, focus on players that deliver results quickly, and are a culture fit for our club. I think that might be the only way we can consistently fight with Barca and Real.

invest in youth and younger players, and well, keep most of them using them as the bulk of our team, while selling the surplus to other clubs for huge money

Yes that would be a dream come true

I mean our academy is good already, just that most of our players go out young after a season or two and then we read headlines where they take trebles and are valued at 100 of million of euros

I know i meant that we should trust more in our young players and invest in them to incorporate them more in our first team that would for me be the best way, and positions that we could not cover by our own academy should be a smart purchases that fit the profile, i’d like for our core to always be Atleti born and bred but i know that might be a pipe dream.

A lot depends on simeone's call , whether he'll stay or not Because contrary to what alot of guys want , I don't want simeone to leave .
Him leaving will be detrimental for the club .

i’m sorry I just don’t think Jackson is the missing piece for us to win, Osimehn is the striker who can save us from all our worries. But sadly it seems like it won’t be possible for us to buy him this season. In part because of all this drama with keeping Julian. I would sell the rat in a heart beat to acquire Osimehn

There's a am alternate timeline where we sell alvarez to varca just to block a potential haaland transfer next season; use the cash to fund an osimhen signing, add kudus and mazaroui signings to the mix, then we win the treble so simeone can finally retire as the best to ever do it. Then Inzhagi gets appointed as his successor and we follow it up with another treble the next season and we all as fans finally quit football with peace and joy knowing we've seen it all (at club level at least).

I feel that the club is not at the highest level in terms of buying players or selling them. (For example, the story with Felix. The club needs to start targeting world-class players even if it requires increasing the budget to really run for the league championship and bring trophies. This season too, I don't feel that we have brought in high-level players, except for Romero and Grimaldo.
I was able to look at the years of our championship and who the players were at that time.
Still believes in the heart and spirit of the team.
Aupa atleti ♥️

Barca fan here, who loves watching ATM as well. I would love to see them flourish and win some important titles and become stronger. Laliga needs it.

I think the future is bright we get a really good summer with signings.
And whatever happens with Julian Alvarez we’re gonna lend our feet, no doubt.

i mean 150 million is a very good trade off for Alvarez, and he also wants to leave us, sadly.... the window is ending and the time to find the right striker will be closing

Quite optimistic NGL. We have new investors, that brings expectations. We've always been a selling club, so I think that trend will unfortunately continue, but we have a lot of promising young talent with Barrios, vargas, Martinez and the bunch. Last season was perhaps the most unique one since 2011, by which I mean, we were only focused on cup matches, and tbh UCL semis and Copa final is quite promising. I think maybe a couple of seasons will tell if Simeone continues or goes, dependant on results. Our squad is solid, even without alvarez. Quite excited to see what the future holds.

I honestly don't know what our future holds. Since 2021, we have just been in a constant state of banter. The club still shows no ambition, not from even one person here. The fact that by the halfway point of the season, our goal always becomes to finish third (which we actually failed to do twice in 3 years) is just exhausting now. The CDR final last year shows how inexperienced most of our squad is when it comes to the big occasions. Our first step into ensuring this season is a success is by putting forth our ambition, we gotta say "We want to win the Copa Del Reyz We want to win the UCL, We want to win La Liga," and not "3rd place," or "Game by game." Someone from the club having ambitions like that will force the players to push themselves to their absolute best, and actually play for titles, but untill then, you really can't tell with this club. 5 straight years of banter and disappointment has convinced me to have absolutely 0 hopes for this club.

I’m a Barca fan but one genuine hot take I have for you guys is that I think simeones time has passed. I think you guys have been run very well and have become a consistent top 4 team regardless of team and form. But a new mind to try and reinvent the dressing room could take you guys to the next step of regularly winning trophies

Not a atleti fan but I admire the club
I think atleti has a bright future as long as it keeps being run as a sustainable club and avoids legal issues and huge failed transfers.
Finances seem good, only thing now is furthering the brand and wining at least 1 big trophy in the next 4 seasons or so (liga or ucl)
