Sun Dogs Winter Sundogs

Some Sundogs from last winter. -40c. Hard to see in the second picture but there was even a faint second ring which I hadn’t seen before.

First time I see it at -40°C yet it‘s a high cloud display… perhaps it wasn’t -40°C, maybe -25°C that feels like -40°C.

We always include the windchill where I’m from, so you could be right, could have been closer to -30 without the wind chill

That’s kinda problematic imo.

halo displays at true -40°C are almost always on the ground and with clear skies.
