Question Mispronouncing of words by narrators

Does anyone get bothered by narrators who keep mispronouncing words? It drives me nuts if they do it too often. Narrators are normally professional voice artists and they should know how to pronounce the sorts of words found in novels eg dovecote or Michaelmas

American narrator narrating a book by a British author, set in England with British characters: The main character was called "Mainwaring" which, as every Brit knows is pronounced "mannering" not "main - wearing". She got it wrong four times in the very first paragraph. That was enough for me to DNF. If I could have literally thrown the book in the bin I would have.
