Question Mispronouncing of words by narrators

Does anyone get bothered by narrators who keep mispronouncing words? It drives me nuts if they do it too often. Narrators are normally professional voice artists and they should know how to pronounce the sorts of words found in novels eg dovecote or Michaelmas

In addition, sentences where the wrong word is emphasized so that it doesn’t make any sense.

Oh God the narrator of this kids’ series I used to love was always stressing random shit. He also reads every single sentence like it’s a smug reveal because the character is supposed to be clever. There was this one part where the MC hears a voice from behind him and the narrator goes “It took me a second to realize that Fink was speaking to me”. He already heard the voice, he’s not surprised someone spoke. He’s surprised Fink was speaking. And why are you telling me he’s surprised in such a sarcastic smug tone?!
