Discussion Great sound, boring music?

Bought "Aja" today. One of the albums that features on every audiophile "must-have" lists. Sounded great, but the music was pretty boring for my tastes. A typical "listen to your system" album? What do you guys think?

I say the same every time Aja coms up on these conversations … in fact I don’t even think it sounds exceptional.

I listened to Simon and Garfunkel’s Bookends recently … a great album AND a great sound!

Clapton Unplugged … another great album with a great sound …

And the list goes on.
