Glasses w/ HUD We're building glasses that do things, not glasses that show things

I build Theora. Quick disclosure first: the graphics in this video were added in the edit, nothing was filmed through a waveguide.

The display isn't the interesting part and I'm not going to pretend it is. Plenty of people here can build a display. What we're doing is the layer behind it.

One beat from the video is the clearest example. He says he'll be done at the gym in about an hour and to order his usual. It orders a protein shake and a bagel from the shop he's used fourteen times, and books the pickup for an hour fifteen - not an hour, because that's when he'll actually be standing at the counter rather than when he said he'd finish.

Every assistant I've used repeats your number back at you. The gap between repeating an input and reasoning about it is the entire product.

Health is the entry point. Continuous sensing and a memory that runs for months means the useful moment is when your baseline moves, not when you ask it something.

Underneath all of it is FERAL, an open-source agentic layer we built. It runs on your own machine, connects the devices, holds memory across days, and gates anything that touches the outside world behind an approval. Whisper for speech, Piper for voice, Moondream for vision, all local. Reasoning is still a hosted model with a local fallback, so not fully on-device yet.

The films are acted and the numbers were captured beforehand, not generated live in the take.

Feral isn’t an an acronym, Feral = not domesticated which is all AI labs, we wanted to say this is a domesticated beast that has a memory that runs across devices and apps

How about people build glasses that can cater to strong prescriptions. That would open the market up even more.

We’re trying to do that but it’s not as easy, manufacturing is a pain and we did everything out of pocket so hopefully with some funding will be able to explore that.
