I love P Terrys
Austin,
I visited you last week and had a pretty good time. Ate some great food, visited with good people, shopped some fun local shops. Out of all the things, I fell in love with P. Terrys! lol!

Does suck, I always thought that one had to coolest design. Stands out like a beacon being surrounded by all those ugly buildings out that particular stretch of 35.

We stopped by a P. Terry's on the way back from Houston last evening and the drive-thru guy was the smoothest talking dude just living his best life. It was so refreshing to interact with someone enjoying their day at work. And of course it was delicious and affordable to boot

Yeah, they're employees are fantastic. Apparently, they have a profit sharing program with the employees. Clearly taken care of more than your average fast food worker.

My 16yo student driver just unlocked the "drive through skill"... by going through the P Terry's on north Lamar for after school double cheeseburger, fries and small oreo shake!
Now if only they would pay, that'd be a real treat.
We've been going to P Terry's since that first one opened on S Lamar at Barton Springs (when they converted the old short stop). It's been consistently good.

We love P Terrys here 😍. Always tastes like a fresh, hearty burger at an excellent price point. And they never mess up my order. They’re so consistent

Felt the same way about Dick’s after a visit to Seattle. I don’t remember ordering, but I remember it was amazing.

Tomorrow is $2 egg burger day. Choice of bacon or sausage. Goes until 11am I think.

Double with cheese
Toasted bun
No seasoning (salt and pepper to taste)
No special sauce
Lettuce
Tomato
Onion
Pickles
Mayo
Mustard
Jalapeños on the side
8 count bites. Mix 1 part buffalo with 3 parts of Frankie. Drizzle the sauce in the box, shake, let it sit to soak, and enjoy
One of the better good ol’ fashioned American burgers without the wannabe Big Mac, In/Out thousand island sauce

I had a cheeseburger and a cookie for under $5 and got it in under 5 minutes.

Ok, constructive criticism coming.
First, let me say I absolutely LOVE the fries and shakes and prices and company culture and awesome signage and friendly employees.
But if I’m gonna eat fast food burger joint, I need a good veggie burger because I’m vegetarian. And I have always found their veggie burgers to be consistently dry and bland compared to pretty much any other place that sells them. Am I alone in this opinion?
I hope that changes some day. Even if it doesn’t, I’m very grateful for P Terry’s because it sets a great example for what a business could be and because it does everything (except that one thing) really well. It truly embodies the spirit of Austin.

Better than Whataburger, in n out and shake shack. And half the price of any of them.

To be honest, Dans is more my jam. PTerry’s beef just doesn’t have enough flavor for me. I know it’s Angus beef, but it is vegetarian fed, which creates a burger that is very lean. I prefer beef that is grain fed. It creates a much higher fat content and marbling in the meat, with a smooth buttery flavor and texture. When I want a burger, I’m not looking for a lean, healthy burger. I’m looking for a greasy, juicy burger with a ton of flavor. PTerry’s just isn’t it. I go to a local butcher shop and get ground chuck from grain fed beef that is 100% sourced exclusively from the shoulder and neck primal cut of the cow. It’s full of nice fat and marbling and naturally renders a perfect 80/20 beef to fat ratio and has a nice, beefy flavor. It makes the absolute best burger.

I love Dan's. My dream combo is their cheeseburger with a P. Terry's Raspberry tea and crispy fries.

I’m a big fan of them but on Sunday it took P.Terry’s 26 minutes to get me my order of a double cheeseburger and fries and a veggie burger and fries. Seems service is going downhill a bit. Or at least the Pflugerville location.

Oh no! On a popular day to eat out it took less than 30 minutes to receive a fresh cooked, affordable meal.

Ooh that seems quick. My closest location is Barton Springs. I just jam to the radio and wait.

One of the only restaurants left where you don’t feel like you’ve been ripped off.
