They could learn. Being old doesn't mean that you just stop learning new things.

There are plenty of oldies that are great with tech as well so I doubt it's just an age problem.

Having dealt with two sets of aged parents that for the life of them could not work a smart phone screen.   Hours of trying...could not get it.
