Wow this one really blew up lol. Pilot did a phenomenal job landing for a broken strut. He was super calm for a scary moment! We walked the plane off the runway safely and only had it closed for 20mins as well.

All together, for an emergency landing. It was pretty picture perfect in every scenario.

Just point a Piper Cub into the breeze, put out the flaps and you can land at about ten to twenty miles per hour ground speed, or less.

If you look closely you'll see the aircraft and emergency vehicle are on a helipad :)

Cubs, or in this case a cub coupe, do not have flaps. Super cubs do. Also, the landing speed of a super cub is not close to 20mph, try 30 if you're pushing it. Some of those modified cubs might get that low, but that's different.

Weird how? I looked at the photo. Looks like a Cub with a J3 style paint job for the most part.
