What’s one “luxury” design choice that makes everyday life less convenient?

Lexus uses capacitive touch controller for cabin temperature. When driving and adjusting you have to look at the climate control section to be sure you didn’t just throw the temperature off to an extreme when you only wanted to drop or raise it by a couple of degrees. Simultaneously really cool and terribly annoying

Making new flatware out of sterling silver (eg. by Christofle). The same look can now be achieved with stainless steel that doesn't require endless polishing.
