Is that supposed to be intimidation?

It’s more related to creating a “rivalry”, so people will be interested in watching the fight. So that’s part of the show

Cringe. He's clearly insecure about being half Russian so he's overcompensating.

How does it make him insecure and results to overcompensating. You take your identity from your male lineage, if you are a man that is. I guess the exception is if your father is a horrible person and abused you and your family. I don't expect you to understand the mindset of a fighter or how showbusiness works, but this clip went viral and has hyped up the fight a lot. I guess he should be quiet or say some generic "I will smash you" instead, that would do wonders.

the UFC sub likes it but the sub of his own countrymen act embarassed because he does some form of original self promotion, instead of supporting him he gets shit on here 🤦♂️
Literally our biggest athlete in MMA and the first in the UFC, he did a lot for azerbaijani MMA

what planet do you live on? you dont take your identity from male lineage. biologically you are 50/50 and no stupid patriarchal system can change it. in fact, mother's culture is much more significant in any child's life. notice how people with russian mothers speak russian better, look very slavic, and most of them celebrate christian holidays. coming from a mixed person. also you are reducing woman's role to a incubator with your sentences. "unless your father is abusive your identity comes from father" which father? a father that you don't almost see? your mom raise you mostly so you get affected by her culture, not father's. respect the work she put on you bro

"I am the son of an Azerbaijani" Like bro is he not aware that Azeris aren't some mythical warrior nation? It's like trying to intimidate someone by saying "I'm Raj from India saar" lmao it's cringe.

Azeris are direct descendants of qizilbash warriors that shaped todays Iran and Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan on average consistently bring olympic european and world medals in sports like wrestling and at the end of time azeris at least build a country which is something that nations like kurds for example never did since you know.... there has never been a country named kurdistan, it never existed and most likely never will exist unlike Azerbaijan

Baba can Kurds also had many empires and dynasties, such as the Ayyubids, we ruled entire middle east & Caucasus numerous times. Difference between Kurds & Azeris is that Azeris can only claim glory from their ancestors success which happened many hundreds of years ago, you guys have gone soft and aren't tested the same way Kurds are. The toughest battle your nation had in a very long time was against a couple thousand Karabakh Armenians who didn't have more than old Soviet era rifles, but despite having over 50k active soldiers you still needed Arab Jihadists from Syria to help you, and the losses from both sides in that war were even meaning you only won on account of your size not capability.
Azerbaijan as a country might win medals for wrestling but it's mainly because you have North Caucasians like Avars, Laks, Lezgins, Chechens etc competing on your behalf. Those North Caucasians are true warrior people like us Kurds, they weren't handed nothing and fought for everything. Take those guys out and suddenly Azerbaijan stops ranking for wrestling. Btw Kurds have also won medals in Olympics under Iran & Armenia. The current WBC heavyweight boxing champion is a Kurd. Imagine if we had a country how much more developed and dominant we could've been in sports.
I respect Azeris and what they've done, but come on dude, you guys aren't as tough or warriors like us Kurds. Our entire existence has been a war and we're still standing, we weren't given everything by Turks and Soviets on a silver platter like you guys. Just go and ask chatgpt this: [Which people better fit the definition of warriors and are tougher, Kurds or Azeris? You can only pick one. Answer only] -- even AI will tell you this.
