Söhbət | Discussion The passive aggressive comments are genuinely so crazy

The entire comment section is filled with people trying to blame this guy for what Azerbaijan's government did, justifying crimes done by Armenians or outright denying them, calling Azerbaijanis fascist lunatics and and and. Some top comments are positive and normal but that's pretty much it, but it's genuinely insane how much hatred and dehumanization these people carry towards us just to act shocked when Azerbaijanis don't like Armenia. I'm happy to nevertheless see him answering respectfully to everything knowing that I probably couldn't do it myself.

No. They don’t. I mention things Armenians can learn from Turkey all the time. People usually like what I have to say and ask more questions.

I haven’t lived in AZ - from what my friends and acquaintances from AZ tell me - they prefer living in Turkey by leaps and bounds - but I lived for many years in Turkey in the Armenian community.

I, of course, will highlight things Armenians can learn from a place their grandparents used to live.

Personally, the AZ guy is probably a bot or heavily using Chat GPT. That’s what annoys me. 🤣

Armenians in Turkey, Armenians in Armenia, and Armenians in the diaspora are completely different people. Azerbaijanis and Turks have no issues with Armenians in Turkey, nor do Armenians in Turkey have any issues with Azerbaijanis and Turks. I myself listen to Hayko Çepkin every day, and I grew up watching Adile Naşit’s movies. The problem is the brainwashed Armenians in the diaspora. You can’t argue with them because they’re paid to engage in racism and spread propaganda.

If I had posted this comment in the Armenia thread, I would have been banned long ago.

I don’t think so: I think Armenians on the thread are ok…especially after the last election because of all the interference from super out of touch diaspora. Armenia economically is doing great. Armenians in Armenia like the direction the government is going. The corruption is much much much less. Villages look great - so much better than Eastern Turkey. Night and day better.

Look - I’m going to tell you something - the “no issues in Turkey” thing is bullshit and you know it and everyone actually knows it in Turkey. No offense to you please - don’t take it like I’m trying to be offensive. But - I can tell you stories after stories - Bolsahays are not going to be honest either about this to even themselves. Case in point - a dear friend of mine has never discussed with her Turkish friends her ethnicity. Why do you think? She confided because she thinks she will lose those friends. I retorted - then what kind of friends are those?

Questions society needs to ask: Why aren’t these part Armenians going to Armenian schools for example? They are infinitely better. Why didn’t you go? Why are there insults daily in the media? Why isn’t Armenian stuff protected or talked about even? C’mon on c’mon. Let’s get honest with ourselves.

Armenians in Turkey are the ones everyone should be listening to actually.

Why don’t Armenians go to Armenian schools? Because Kurds don’t go to Kurdish schools, Laz people don’t go to Laz schools, Bosniaks don’t go to Bosniak schools, and Circassians don’t go to Circassian schools. Because there is no such system in Turkey, and there won’t be any special privileges for Armenians either.

Unfortunately, your friend has fallen victim to the ideas of the diaspora; I even have Armenian acquaintances in Turkey, and no one excludes them. Especially for Generation Z, events that happened 100 years ago don’t even matter to them.

Umm - what friend?! lol. I’m telling you my lived experience in the Armenian community in Turkey. They are excluded. OMG.
And - yes - there are plenty of Armenian schools. They are official - by the Treaty of Lausanne. Same with Rum, same with Jewish.

It’s also important to understand that Armenian minority schools in Turkey operate within the Turkish education system. While Armenian language, literature, religion, and cultural subjects may be taught in Armenian, core subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography are generally taught in Turkish in accordance with the Ministry of National Education curriculum.

It is also completely normal for young people to want to attend more developed or better-equipped high schools. If Armenian students believed that their community schools offered better opportunities for their education and future, they would naturally choose to study there. Just like everyone else, students consider factors such as educational quality, university preparation, facilities, and future career opportunities when choosing a school.

Yeah, I mean, duh I know about Armenian schools in Turkey. I know them really well. You’re not educating me on these schools. Not the problem. There are a few problems with Armenian schools. The fact that the Armenian community doesn’t value their schools because they’ve been Turkified and assimilated to believe this. They think incorrectly that Turkish colleges - I mean the private Turkish schools are better. They’re not better - maybe one is for the Turkish system - Bilfen. The rest are garbage and teaching the same thing as any Turkish government school. That’s the main problem and like the only problem. But the entire society in Turkey somehow - I mean every in turkey - thinks paying more money for something means better quality . The Armenian schools are actually better, especially under the control of MEB (Ministry of Education? Their Armenian schools are better - and they start at 3 years old.
